Re: Cracked turbine housing?
Can you get it welded without too much hassle/cost? If it were me, I'd just take it into work and have one of the welders buzz that back together until I could source a cost-effective replacement. Maybe others have a good reason disagree... but that's my two cents.

Re: Cracked turbine housing?
welding is possible, but cast-iron does have a tendency to crack again when welded if not welded properly.
Re: Cracked turbine housing?
I thought about welding it up, then thought of probably having to do some machine work on it as well... not worth the cost in my head vs going full frame being as I already have a T25 housing for it. I just swapped over to wideband and eurodyne maestro so the plan was to go back to a ko3 for now while I save money for a manifold. Plans changed again tonight when I found one of the oil lines from a parts car has a crack in it. Saying EFF amd running this housing as is haha. Im feeling lucky.

Re: Cracked turbine housing?
Hey guys, I'm very familiar with seeing cracks in these areas (tongue and bearing housing seat). The crack that runs from volute tongue up to BH bore is probably due to poor metal composition. The
crack I'd worry about is on volute tongue. Usually this is due to the material stress relieving and once it does that, no problems. However, I see lots of cracking around a small, uncaptured
region (tongue). This area gets beat up and I'd worry about that coming off based on the quality of the material seen. Also, seems like there's a crack on the contour. In summary,
run the piss out of it and pull the core off routinely to inspect it. Preying for no FOD for you.
