Carlisle 2017 (Tshirt information added!)

Post by AudiSport4000 »

It's our 14th year for the Audi Club at Carlisle! All Audis--all years--welcome!

The show/get together = Friday May 19th thru Sunday May 21st, 2017 (this is the Import Performance Nationals) held in lovely Carlisle, PA at the fairgrounds, right off of the PA Turnpike.

If you're new to this...search the forum for "Carlisle" and you'll see a ton of posts. Or go to http://www.audi4000.com (sort of defunct for now, hopefully fixed soon) for the past years pics! A few different shows are merging this year, so the showfield will be more active and lively with different import makes and models.

Many folks arrive bright and early on Friday morning to set up camp and get acclimated to the grounds, visit the swap meet/vendor area, or just hang out!

Market Cross has been booked for Friday at 7pm! When you email me please specify if you would like to join and how many will be in your party.

HOW TO:

We're all going to register under one name--The Audi Club. (It's actually on a drop-down on the registration site)

The direct link at the bottom of this post will let you register online if you have a credit card.

Or to check out Carlisle's main site, go to http://www.carsatcarlisle.com. Go to "View Our Events" at the top of the page and the Carlisle Import Performance Nationals will be a few spots down. Click "View Event Details" for further information and to register. Ensure you select "2017 Carlisle Import Performance Nationals Nonjudged Showfield" as there is a separate link for KIT cars.

*****If you register before APRIL 17th you will receive a 10% Gate n Go discount. Your sticker will be mailed to you. Once you register you will be emailed a receipt - Please bring this to the event*****

The cost is $40 for the first car you bring. This $40 includes you, one guest, and your car for the entire weekend!
On that same link, you can also register to camp for $20, and you can register for both in one transaction. Camping is on-site, near where we park our cars, and there's a shower/bathroom facility with electricity, warm showers, flushing toilets, lovely bathroom attendants (Butch and Angie!), etc. If you plan to partake in any boozing that may occur, I strongly suggest camping so there's no issues with driving to your hotel afterwards.

You know the drill: PLEASE EMAIL ME ONCE YOU REGISTER: theaudiclub@gmail.com (please be sure to include your name, online handle, vehicle, where you are coming from, and if you will be joining us for dinner at Market Cross).

I have reached out to George regarding the Mechanicsburg Audi breakfast, and it is ON again this year!!! :)

Unfortunately Scott cannot make it this year so orders will be shipped to the address of your choice. The site will be up for a few weeks after Carlisle. I'd recommend ordering now if you want them before the event. With print and shipping time I'm hoping to have mine before Carlisle, but I wont be disappointed if its here when I get home.

Scott also added some additional Carlisle goodies available for order AND the older Diff shirts!! Epic!

Food will likely be "bring your own" like we did last year, but feel free to coordinate with others to create your own lunch/dinner experience with other enthusiasts.

I'm thinking about going. Either in the B5 avant, or if I get the 200 running well enough with Megasquirt then that

Hey Mat,

The plan is to get it running, however finding a gas tank is turning out to be harder that first thought. Between
Martin, Mike and myself we've probably throw out over 10 tanks :hammer:

Frank De Kat did find me a 4000 quattro one. The only problem is that it came with the complete quattro transmission
tunnel and rear suspension mounting points :D

Cheers

Obviously the easiest way to replace the gas tank is to make it a Quattro.

As long as it doesn't rain, I'll be happy! On the other hand, did you see we are supposed to see 90° on Thursday for the bike ride?

lol, yeah. Bring lots of fluids! Luckily we take plenty of breaks, plus the tunnels are nice and cool.
