[quote="speedydtp247"]Here is the stereo system that was installed. I'm not sure how I feel about the big front door speaker panel and the head unit. I'm thinking about having a in dash screen head unit installed.

I think the look pretty good. Were they custom made or can you just buy the enclosure. I wouldn't mind having them. They would look alot better if they matched the door card. And maybe a smaller woofer :-) .

Here's a pic of the driver side enclosure. These were purchased by the previous owner from a company in Europe.

Damn that A/C bracket thing is heavy.

These pics below show the engine covered in oil caused by a failure in the pcv system.

Here's a better pic of the metal t-stat housing that can be used from the 20vt motor out of the 5000's.

Does this cover on the motor mount need to be reused with the 034 street density mounts?

She's a bit rough around the edges but I'm slowly bringing her back to look respectable.

A little update. I dropped of the avant at the body shop about a month ago and it hasn't moved from the spot where I dropped it off :frustrated: Last week they told me that they'll start on it but when I called them this past Friday, they said that haven't got to it yet :( Tomorrow I'm going to call them and ask them if they'll be able to start on it for sure, if not I'm going to pick it up and take it elsewhere.

i have faith in Brandt. he will have it done before the motor is ready. just let know that you need it for your plans to come together. he is probably concentrating on the cars that are sole transportion for folks.

I wish he told me that they've been really busy and can get to it as soon as they get caught up. Rather then telling me they'll start working on it last week.

Nope :( The body shop has been dragging their feet. Its been there since April 28th. I talked to them yesterday and they hope to have the rust spots in the engine bay cleaned up and repainted and have it done by Thursday so I can finally pick it up. While it was there the PS rack and PS pump was sent out to get rebuilt.

I had the short block at one shop and they inspected it and told me that the block was good and they honed the cylinders but thats all they did because I told them that I'm upgrading to forged rods and they told me they're not going to reassemble it because its going to be a high performance motor and they only deal with OEM stuff. I picked it up and took it to another shop and ask if they could reassemble it and they said yes. Unfortuntally it sat there untouched for 2 1/2 months because they were behind on other projects. I picked it up and now its at a 3rd shop to get reassembled and they said it should be done in 2 weeks.

I finally got my avant back this past Thursday. She has been sitting at the body shop since April 28th. The body shop was dragging their feet to get the work done that I asked them to do but it eventually got done. While it was there the PS rack and PS pump was sent out to get rebuilt.
