A few weeks ago, I took a day trip up to northern Ohio to visit the fine folks at German Auto Pro's (who, by the way, have some sweet-ass cars!). What started as a small parts haul for the 200 very quickly turned into hours spent playing with their 200's and lusting over their factory 5-speed V8. We went out to eat, and by the time we got back, I had somehow been convinced to haul back ~500lbs of parts I didn't know I needed. Among those being an 016 from 200 20v!
And so it begins...

If you, uh, notice the big shiny part, a huge shoutout to Ben for helping me track down a brand new unobtanium Fidanza flywheel! Seriously, that takes a lot of headache out of just having this trans sitting out under the porch.
I've been looking into everything I need to collect to complete the swap. Luckily, others have forged the path already, but I'm definitely going to need access to a parts car. I know there's a shop parting two 20v's about an hour from me, and I'm hoping they can make me a package deal, because this going to be $$$ otherwise.

I've got parts in green. Yellow, I'll probably buy new, though I'd consider a good used one. For the clutch, I'm just going to order a stock 3B unit to keep the cost down. The rest I should be able to track down from a 200.
The only thing I still need to figure out is the transmission mounting arms. I know they are different on the V8, but from what I read, I should be to space out the 200 one ~1" to make them work. Unfortunately, I wasn't given those with the transmission, so I'll have to either find those, or genuine V8 5-speed parts.
That's it for now! Hopefully this won't been too drawn out of a process. If I can arrange everything, I'd like to try and get this done during fall break.
