DM forged rods

Post by 88a5tq »

Anyone know how to install these direction-wise? One side of DM rods has serial #'s. What side would that equate to on the stock ones? Should I install the side that shows DM's branding in the same direction as the piston directional indicators? That seems the most logical to me.

Thanks!

So I took a picture of one of the rods/piston before disassembly so I'll have to assume all 5 are oriented in the same manner. From the first shot I'm led to believe that the DM trademark is pointed in the opposite direction of the piston directional marks instead. I'm basing this off the bearing "tang" pressings inside the stock rods and the DM rods. I guess my answer is in front of me?

I should just match them I guess :idunno:

If nobody here knows, I'd be calling or emailing DM. This isn't the kind of thing where you want to be using guesswork!
Be alert! America needs more lerts.

Sorry I forgot to update this but Marc got back to me on it. They're not directional but you want them all to face the same way :)
Thanks Marc!
