Subframe Adjustment Question

Post by Audilard »

Question about adjusting the subframe, B3 80.

Isn't one of the subframe bolts stationary while the other 3 are adjustable based on the stationary's pivot point? I'm wondering if I can loosen the transmission bolts and the subframe bolts and adjust the subframe and ultimately the control arm back towards the rear of the car about 1/4".

Well, to answer your question...

Yes, the closest subframe bolt to the driver is stationary and is the pivot point to allow side to side/forward and back on the other 3.
