Alternator died on the way to my parents' house for the weekend. Anyone have a known good alternator near Dayton?

Hey man, check the voltage regulator right on the alternator. The brushes are likely just worn out, and you could save a lot of money. They're super easy to source as well (just a heads up) and good luck.
