Tfrieds 92 S4 goin 6 speed.

Post by tfried87 »

So ive had a few urs cars over the last few years and I love them. Before them I drove a 90 CQ which was great but slow. I had plans to do a aan swap but once I got a decent S car I never looked back. the first urs that I drove on a daily basis was my emerald 95 S6. Not a perfect car but its Rs2d among other tasteful mods, and I loved it. In October of 2014 I came across the car I currently drive, my 1992 black and ecru S4. Its fully Rs2d, 2bennet coilovers in the rear and springs in the front with their caster and camber plates, 3" pipe from the turbo back with 2 stainless magnaflows, samco hoses, 42lb injectors, porsche big reds with cross drilled 323mm a8 rotors. It only had 139,000 miles on it, the paint is amazing, and it has zero rust. I found it exactly like that at an online insurance auction for salvage vehicles. It had a salvage title bc of a pretty minor dent on the front left qt panel which caused the door to stick. I fixed the dent, got the car re certified with a rebuilt title and have been driving it since march 2015. Its been perfect I absolutley love this car. I just installed a 034 short shifter, black forest weighted shiftknob, and im in the process of installing a SB stg 3 daily clutch kit, and a rebuilt 01e 6 speed from an 01 A6 2.7tt. After this future plans are new custom coilovers all around, Euro tail lights (en route from Bulgaria, I cant wait!) And more power! Hope yall enjoy ill add more pics as I take them!

P.s someone should buy my old 95 S6 itd be a shame to part it out!

I like your plans. Needs some clear corners and pinstripe removal ;)

Wow, that looks nice. I'd get rid of the pin stripe and be done with it!

That 6 speed swap will be killer though and make the car a much better daily if you have the right 6th in it.

Thanks its actually a local tech school that I went to, they usually let me use the shop if theyre not busy, I agree to involve the current students, and clean up, pretty cool of them. Im in the early stages of building a 3 bay shop at my house, cant wait for that to be done! Hoping for early fall..

Well got everything installed, and shes back on the road. The pedal feel is still comfortable with the stg 3, its just a bit grabby, but thats to be expected.
