Sounds like it's gonna be tight. There's gotta be room for a big cooler on the driver's side...

I'll post pictures tomorrow Ed of why I didn't move it over to that side. I built a 10x6x6 aluminum tank to hold more coolant for the ic system that's in the location of the Stock Ic.

Ah, gotcha.

Stock oil cooler doesn't match the rest of the build... I would try to find a way to get fit something bigger, somewhere.

the hood wouldn't clear a 2'' thick oil cooler, and they don't really make any -10 fitting ones that are less then 2'' thick

I have never had an issue with the factory cooler. Maybe on a road course it would become and issue but on a street/strip car where the most it will be is WOT for 10-20 seconds it will not be an issue.

Sure if you're only using WOT for 10-20 seconds then you won't have any issues....is that really the hardest you drive your car??

Any repeated WOT activity like a road course or driving twisties on the street where you're accelerating out of each corner banging off the rev limiter :) and the stock cooler is insufficient, specifically with big turbo/higher power band.

Protect the most important parts of your engine!

Optimal oil temp, based on my research is between 230-260°. For as hard as I've ever driven my 200 it has never surpassed these temps.

Some people will just blindly bolt an oil cooler on their cars when it's not needed. Then the oil is below ideal. We'll obvoisly watch temps though.

if the oil cooler thermostat is working properly even the biggest oil cooler should allow the temps to reach 230F. it doesn't open until around there so the water boils off.

The AAN has an oil cooler thermostat. A larger cooler will provide better cooling capacity and efficiency, not cause oil to run under operating temp.

Obviously 200 20Vs are better at cooling oil than urS4s are.

I never once saw oil temp rise above normal in mine, but I probably just drive like a puss.

I agree on the thermostat statement though.

Sarcasm doesn't translate well over the Internet, but I'm not sure? Could be! I was serious about the rest though. Like I said, I probably just drive like a sissy.

3B's have the thermostat and what looks like a very similar cooler (if not identical). 200's are superior though.

Did you purposely capitalize both letters in his name so people would mistake it as the acronym for an unfortunate male problem? That's uncalled for man.
