URS instrument cluster into a T44?

Post by alall »

Trying to replace a faulty 200 cluster with a possibly working spare urs4 cluster on my brothers newly acquired 200 avant. Also, are the odometers compatible to swap over? Maybe we'll just combine compatible working parts into one. Thoughts?

I got my cluster working just by checking and re soldering all the cluster groundings.

The urs4 cluster is physically larger than the 200 cluster and will not fit. If the odometer is not working on the 200 cluster it is likely just the gear which can be replaced with one from ebay for $10.
I don't believe the speedometer/odometer will swap into the 200 cluster.

Thanks for the input. The odometer works fine on the 200, I just wanted to swap it over if we were to swap clusters to keep the same mileage. Only a couple of gauges don't seem to work.
I think we'll just tear into both and see what's what.
Perhaps some of the individual gauges in the cluster are compatible with both? White gauges might look kinda cool with black interior.

Some stuff might work. I think that the speedometer from a '92 and '93 UrS might work. From what I've seen, they look very similar from the back of the clusters. The rest of the gauges should cross over from a voltage standpoint but mounting might be an issue...
