Re: 93 Red URS4 Build
Lol thanks for reaffirming my decision never to buy a 2.7tt car. 5 pot is the way to go

Re: 93 Red URS4 Build
The entire time I worked on my dad's B5, I was muttering to myself "soon... soon..." while dreaming of the 200. Either that or cursing the S4. I forget, maybe a mix.
Congrats on getting back your car, man! Can't wait to see what "bigger turbo plans" entails

Nothing is that difficult to fix on a B5, but everything you do takes 3X the amount of time. It becomes very annoying having to remove 5 different things whenever you want to fix something. BUT, it was an awesome car and I do miss it, the 2.7t is a lot of fun on bigger turbos especially in a small avant. The 5 cylinder will always be my favorite though and I am really happy to have my old car back, I regretted selling it every time I would see it, or more importantly, hear it

Re: 93 Red URS4 Build
Has anyone put the hood and lights from a urs6 or a6 on a urs4? My hood is in pretty rough shape and I like the more modern look of the urs6 front end. I'm just curious how it would look with the urs4 bumper and trim etc. I would love to see some pictures of it.

Good deal man... I was wondering why you sold the b5, tired of the maintenance or just missing the 5 cyl?

Must change fenders too as the corner lamps are different...

Re: 93 Red URS4 Build
Sorry for the TJ:As you have owned both I5 & 2.7tt.My country didn't have the 2.7tt motor officially sold right here but some of them was illegally imported. personally i never had any chances on the 2.7tt.I also have read a lot of threads mentioned about the service and fragility of 2.7tt.Is that 2.7tt really bad?I have found a lot of peoples gone from I5 for 2.7tt and then back to I5 again.why?with the same money, how differences the power output we gained from 2.7tt compared with I5?

Missing the 5 cyl mostly, it is also cheaper to insure, as well as just overall cheaper. Plus this car in particular just felt so solid and reliable, I never quite had that feeling in my B5. I also read through the "da fridge" build thread again and got inspired to go nuts on a 5 cyl car.
I need a ride in your 770 car sometime though! Hopefully it won't make me miss mine too much

Will the S6 headlight lenses not line up with the S4 corners? My plan was to keep the S4 corners and just run the S6 headlight lenses and hood, seems like they would be close enough at the point where the corner lamp meets the headlight lens that it would work.
Edit: Found a picture and they get close, but are slightly out of alignment. http://forums.quattroworld.com/s4s6/msgs/44374.phtml , If I can find a cheap set of S6 lenses I may see if I can get them to look correct with some adjustment.

The headlight wiring is different too, different plugs for S4 vs S6.

The 770 car is a blast, it's over 600 WHP and It's built right, so I don't worry about it much and I daily drive it most of the time. . Having that much power is a trade off, there are always things that can go wrong... I would be fine with a little less power if I could have something like a b8 s4 or b7 rs4 someday, and keep the coupe as a project. I am inspired by the fridge as well!
I'd be happy to take you for a ride. I'm off smith so real close to town, just need to get a day off work.

Re: 93 Red URS4 Build
Just took a few pictures of my S4 with both my brother's 200's and one picture of my girlfriend's 200. Enjoy
PS... I'm running an Apikol FMIC, am blocking airflow to anything with where my plate is at? Got pulled over the other day and had to put it on.

Haha, I can't remember who it was. Is he a bit older with a mustache? Motorcycle cop of course.
Re: 93 Red URS4 Build
That's a good-looking fleet you've got there! Glad I don't have to deal with any of that front plate nonsense.

always loved the red urs4's. the black rub strips just have such perfect contrast. Also love Bolero's. Wanna trade cars?!
