I couldn't find a thread like this here, if there is one please let me know. Just a place for non project car stuff. Anyway I did this yesterday.

That's pretty cool - how did it turn out compared to something like a vinyl wrap? All in one day too so prep and application must be pretty quick.

It turned out ok, I'm going to peel it and redo it, made some mistakes and also knocked over a gallon of color so it's spotty in areas.

Scraped off old reg, stuck new one on, ordered thermostat and valve cover for the a4, also pass tierod end and pass strut bearing for the v8. Also picked up an abt ecu for the v8 can't wait to get it...

Found both front caliper carriers on the cabriolet had 1 seized slide pin each. That explains the brakes sucking. Proceeded to remove one seized pin but broke off the other...

Off to the junkyard today.

Put the chipped ecu in the V8 today. It feels faster.

Replaced my IAC sensor, and put on a real weather pack pigtail. Works well again.

Put a thermostat in my b6, I thought an mkIV Gti was a pain....also removed rear muffler on the v8, sounds pretty good, it will do until I can build an exhaust.
