Re: 91 200 20vt 870CC, Holset, VEMS, ALMOST DONE! please hel
Knock sensors are blue and green iirc. And speed sensors are grey and black. The tdc pin is the black one. Again this is off of memory.

Blue and green are the knock sensors. At least on my roommates urs4. I believe white is secondary trigger and black is primary.
I don't have a factory harness in my car.
EDIT:I guess black is secondary? if it doesn't work, just reverse them.

Hmmm odd. Because I have a white connector on it now but it comes off the main engine harness.
100% sure The white one off the main ECU harness should go to the g62 ecu coolant temp sensor in the back of the head there is a blue connector that comes out the same part of the main loom that goes to the blue N80 carbon canister frequency valve. Factory colors for the knock sensors on 200 20v are brown and blue so you want your green one to the brown and blue to blue.

For the speed sensors that is what I believe to be true and thats how it. I have my VEMS pins swapped and all. Hmmm. Guess I will have to actually spend some time into it.
I checked all my coil harness to my VEMS, the coils, coil wires, etc and all that is good. Good power and good ground.
The engine speed sensors are from a 200 20v but I thought they were the same and that shouldn't be an issue.
I'll be able to spend some time on Sunday hope to have some ideas.

Oh wow thank you. I really suck at matching things up thats why I like the newer cars where
idiots like me cant screw it up. My blue connector goes to my heater valve ugh. Thank you again for helping me unfuck this.

A damn missing relay haha. I tested the hall sensor like you said and it tested fine. I re-aligned it (removed to test) and was poking around the car and saw a relay in the trunk. So back when I installed my engine harness (page 9) I said this relay was part of the harness but I couldn't remember what relay number if any went there. Well it plugged right in so must have been the missing link (relay 203)

No one responded and I kind of just forgot about it. Well apparently it does something with ignition heh. She hicupped and I had spark wire number 1 removed to check for spark. Saw her arc after I put it in so I grabbed my girl and my camera phone to take a video because I had a feeling she was going to start.

Me too! Still lots left to do but to hearing her run is def a huge stress reliever, seriously. More motivation to finish her up now I want her on the road by the end of July.

It's great when it's something little and easy that ends up being the issue! Can't wait to see this thing rip, and I want to see how your Holset hybrid does.

Haha thats funny because my submarine caught fire and our unofficial logo has a phoenix on it.
Troubles and progress.
First Nick (amdisthebest) gave me a crash course on VEMS and I was able to set it to my 870cc injectors so my car can idle now.

Radiator was damaged because of fire and was leaking when it was filled. Luckily I had an extra one (plastic end tanks booo) brand new sitting around. Then it was the aux water pump that was leaking, so I deleted it. Okay so now the cooling system is good.
Bled the brakes with my Motul RBF600 brake fluid. All good.
Also fuel pours from the area below where my coilpacks are mounted by where the fuel hardlines run up under the car. Not sure about this as I did not touch those. I will be addressing this tomorrow.

The N80 T's into the that funny looking Y off the crank case breather hose check valve which then connects the medium sized fitting under the throttle body only one of them hard to miss.

you probably have rusty lines at the clamps under the car. Just get a roll and run all three new lines front to back because its probably hanging on by a thread under the rest of the clamps. Only cost like $60 or so, but its a bit of a PITA.

Yeah I was thinking that too because when I resprayed the engine bay I did tug/bend them a good bit to tape stuff off and all. And they are prolly old and rusty yes. I have new Oem lines I got with my first 200 20v but they are back at my parents house. Hmmmm.

Re: 91 200 20vt 870CC, Holset, VEMS, SHES ALIVE....AGAIN!
Welp good news, I guess.
Couldn't see my fuel leak. It was up behind the steering rack just pouring down. Tried one by one removing the lines and checking them but found nothing. Soooo eventually I found out my leaking line was the return line behind the rack up in the center-ish.
Sooo I hate the OEM lines and how they route them with a fuel filter on one side and it crosses in this ridiculous place and all. Sooooo I ordered AN lines and fittings since a lot of my other stuff is. I also placed an order for a nice inline aeromotive fuel filter. Set me back a pretty penny for it all but oh well it will be worth it. I should have everything on Monday. I was going to redo the vent line AN too but I spent enough today and it wasn't broken so I will just re-assemble that hose.

Yes it was broken before I even ripped it out. So I'm going to assume it may have caused a sliiiiiiiiiiight problem.

While waiting for my new fuel lines to come in I decided to button up the interior and install my wheel, dash pieces, tuck the VEMS ecu up and everything. Still a couple small things to do before it's all done (wrap DP, small things here and there).

Sport wheel installed.
