Rest of the engine bay done. Tomorrow I will re-install things removed for prepping the bay and start to re-install all the other pieces to put her back together.

Not a clue lol. I wanted to mount it by the washer resevoir but I may mount it behind the power steering pump. Shrug. Any suggestions?

Cereal progress. On leave (vacation) for a little bit here so I am able to put ALOT of time into her. Making great progress. Super excited. May have her running again here in a couple weeks.

I'm ecstatic that this project is back on track! I can't wait to see it run. Out of curiosity, have you determined what ignited the fire (I think you said grounds)? I'm sure you're well aware, but make sure you take care of that before giving it another go! I can't imagine how crushing it would be to have this happen twice.

No real suggestions... I have a strut bar I'm attaching it to, we'll see how it goes. Just
Don't mount it low like I did initially haha

Pretty sure it was the fuel leak combined with a shitty ground issue. Has to be it since I had a near fire when I put power to her and thought I sorted it out and then once she ran and leaked fuel after a while this happened. All grounding points have been gone over and cleaned up along with a grounding kit being added for good measure. I got a double the size fire extinguisher this time too so I do not think it will run out. And the hose will be on stand by.

Haha yeah I'm going to see what I can rig up just above valve cover level.

Got home from vacation in Hawaii and it was awesome. Had a lot of fun and did some amazing things. Trying to get stationed out there end of the year and I like it. Not much for motorsport stuff but oh well.

Okay so this is the silicone 034 coolant hose I have, believed to go from the aux water pump to the coolant hose pipe.
Image
Not the most reliable source but looks the same as this.
http://www.carpartsdiscount.com/auto/pa ... 3593=55224
One end (large end) slips onto the coolant pump
Image
This shows the smaller end
Image
But the smaller end will not go on the hose in any way, swapped it won't slide over the coolant pump.
Image
I went to ETKA and it shows a nipple is suppose to be on the coolant hose (and on the top but still)
Image
So I went to buy another 3b coolant hardpipe thinking mine was missing it somehow, but the donor hardpipe was the same as mine, no nipple.

I could just make my own hose, but I want to know why my 034 hose kit does not work, or maybe meant for a 20vt? I contacted them forever ago about this but I was just told it's correct. But clearly it does not and will not work. Seeing what is up.

Other than that got some progress done. Installed my super cool engine grounds, grinded down my holset outlet to work with a 2.5 coupler, did my intercooler piping and clamped it down. Tomorrow I am going to do the vacuum lines and re-wire some burned connectors underneath.

Also does anyone have insight on the two vacuum lines in the hvac box area where they go? Mine burned and I kind of forgot. I am going to try to look it up, but wondering if anyone knew off the top of their head. I know one goes to the heater control valve.

Pretty sure they sent you a hose for a 20v or the part didn't get made properly. Also surprised they even answered the phone, haha.
Glad to see it's getting close to driving again.

Eh. Sometimes they are super helpful sometimes not at all. I've been trying to not say shit about it but it's getting old. Like after this caught fire I figured 5+ years of being a customer and thousands and thousands (and I know people spend more, but no freeloader by any means) of dollars later I could get some help. Working out things (over a couple of weeks trying to email/call) I realized I could in fact fix my throttle body, and the heater hoses were not damaged like I thought, as the invoice got smaller and smaller they seemed to not care at that point to continue helping me since I would only be getting help on the fuel rail and fittings. The emails stopped coming in my inbox. So oh well.

Ended up making my own secondary water pump hose, re-wired a lot of burned connectors underneath the car. this one has been confusing me for a while now. Visually cannot see where it plugs in, looked at my bentley cannot match up the wire colors to anything, kind of stumped.

Here is a photo, plug is downstream of the radiator coolant tempeture connector (the harness that goes to like the headlights and a lot of misc things on the front end) and can go around the aux water pump area and underneath the car a good amount. Any idea? Really would like to figure this out.

Next up is vacuum lines on tuesday. :woowoo:

Keep going, doesn't look like many more hours to finish.

I've heard that before about contacting them but gave it the benefit of the doubt. Thought it might be better if you was in america so you could call them but I guess not.

i will not check manual now, but what about brake fluid level indicator in that area? a/c compressor's cluch and it's high pressure/low pressure switches in front of a/c rad?

Res is connected, a/c compressor clutch is a single wire, and high low pressure switches should not have been touched but I will check.

Maybe its the two pin white connector that goes to the heater valve. Alot of times the heater valve gets changed out for one that doesn't have the electrical connection so the white connector gets left unplugged.

if wires are coded Brown-black and Yellow-red then it is coolant temp sensor the one used for a/c in this case

Oh I actually have that plugged in. Comes off the engine harness though by the coil. Not sure if the wire collectors are the same but I am fairly confident that is the correct connector.

Got a little distracted with the 200. But I'm basically done with everything. Got my new fuel lines and all on her. Been distracted since I got a bike I've been talking about buying for a while now. I always wanted a old Honda CB900F. Welp I got one. Love it.

That white connector should go to the heater valve temp sensor.

Hmmm odd. Because I have a white connector on it now but it comes off the main engine harness.

Okay so. Started to crank her. Power is good. Fuel is good (no leaks woot woot) . Most everything looks good. No spark. I think it's something as stupid as me swapping the engine harness connector to the wrong plug (mainly the knock sensors and engine rpm and engine reference sensors). Looked through the Bentley and I believed everything to be true. But clearly not. No RPMS register on my VEMS display (gets power and displays) or my tachometer. But I'm excited because I am very close.

Can anyone run out to their 200 and tell me what color connectors knock sensor 1, knock sensor 2, engine rpm and engine reference sensors go to? I am using random 5 cylinder sensors so the colors are all screwed up. Thank you.
