So Hank

Are ya happy with it now or do you see something bigger in the future? From my calculations you are at the limits of that turbo, no???

Hap, with some kind of turbolicious Qs near Everboost, Maguire

Hap, I am extremely happy with the car. I want to avoid solid lifters, and drysump for the immediate future. Right now, I have an unreal street setup that does everything I want it to. I can make 600whp on the dyno, fill up at the pump for under 2.50$ a gallon, drive 500 miles for a track event with my family and beat on it for 2 days road racing, then get home and rip off a 10 second pass. Well, I have not done the last one yet, but I will in the next couple of months. I think I am going to further refine the chassis a bit more, and let the turbo be for a while.

Yes, this turbo has no more airflow. Your calculations were correct :) We disconnected the wastegate line on the posted run which is basically the same as clamping the wastegate shut. The power you see is the result of anything and everything the turbo has. By 25% drivetrain loss( i think it is fairly conservative for this particular dyno) It is right at 800crank, which is about what the evo guys are getting out of the billet wheels in the 3582r configuration. Javad made 610whp with the vr6 car on a billet 3582r IIRC. I am right at the realm of what the turbo can make.

I am interested. Also hap, I want to build a tall deck 2.6L using the 95.5 crank and 159 rods. I think I can get away with reving to 8500 with that rod ratio and shift the powered down. If I do that and can get the powerband down to 3700 or less, I may be tempted to upgrade once more to a hta 37r and shift the powerband back up to my current nasty powerband of 4500-8500.

It needs some wiring clean up, but my father in law did take some sweet pictures of the car on Sunday. I think I am going to paint the hood/bay and give Eurotuner or EC a gingle to see if they are interested. I'll do it after Janis's graces the covers so they don't try and do one of those lame 2 for one articles. :)

Mark, I think you win at the amount of AN fittings under the hood of a 5 cylinder audi!

Well the brake fluid reservoir is 4kq, but the coolant reservoir is OEM URQ!!!!! DING DING!!!!!

Other things are

- throttle cable
- steering tie rods
- half a shroud for the top

Oh and there are a couple of magnesium bits on the bottom of the car for shrouding and protection.. This is the only place they will probably get recognition, as they are out of sight. ;)
