New vacuum hoses

Post by morris400 »

I'm gonna be redoing my vac hoses sometime next week maybe, just wondering what you guys use for clamps? Having a hard time finding clamps this small. Or do I not need clamps?

Tia guys,

Kenny.

www.vag-cat.com

sign up and look up all the part numbers you may need.

Here are the smaller ones: http://www.ecstuning.com/ES466949/

I have used Zip-ties with no issues as long as you arent really close to a high heat source.

Usually for vac hose I just use zip ties... there just isn't enough area there to blow them off as long as there is a good barb.

Crappy Tire has a ton of small s/s hose clamps... does Mopac or Home Despot not?

And second the zip ties, but they're usually an object of last resort.

Home Depots smallest ones are to big. Need 3.5-4mm hose clamps

CT

We're gonna need a couple hose sizes, but Adam mentioned most are either 3 or 4 mm.

They're so incredibly rare in our parts, it's not worth the time to look.

Audis have the same clamps w/ lip, FWIW.

Not that it helps right now but Bluewater Performance has stainless steel german-style silicone hose clamps in the works... 16-27mm all the way too 100-120mm
