EFI on UrQ

Post by SEStone »

I've got a friend with an UrQ with a very original and tired CIS system that we're debating binning to go EFI. I'm well-versed with the EFI components and tuning part of the conversion, but it's been forever since I gave any thought to the packaging requirements, and on top of that I know the UrQ WX is slightly unique.

1) Do the standard plastic thread-in EFI injector bungs work on the UrQ head?

2) Hank said that fuel rail:throttle body clearance is a bit easier than the 5ktq application due to the round throttle body. Is this true, or is it still super tight?

3) Is there any real common solution for attaching a TPS to the UrQ throttle body? I know doing it on a 5ktq involves some custom racing brackets or converting to another throttle body.

Ok, from what I understand, the plastic injector adaptors will not work. 034 has aluminum conical seat ones that will.

The height of your injectors will make a lot if difference with fuel rail fitment. With the URQ intake and some short injectors there should be very little fitment issues.

Not sure about the URQ tps setup. With my 5k throttle body I just bolted one on from a B4 V6. No special anything.
