Power distribution modules and such info needed please.

Post by highlander69 »

I'm wanting to completely re-wire my sport project.

That cluster fck of a factory harness has got to go. I hate messy wiring.

I'm currently I'm looking at a few options.

AEM smartwire: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rAzpb2KI-wE a bit over complicated for what I need.

Rowe electronics: http://www.rowe-electronics.com/modules a bit limited but going in the right direction.

ISIS. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABAFhf_2Lvw So far I like this, but a little bulky.

I'm basically looking for a fairly simple programmable body control module.

Does anybody have any input, suggestions or experience with any of these systems. Maybe suggest a system that I haven't mentioned yet?

Something like a configurable megasquirt for circuits, that would be the ticket.

Thanks,

Craig.

I plan on doing this for my 968 track car since I've stripped the entire body harness (but I still want to keep lights and power windows as it will remain street legal). I was mainly looking at ISIS but haven't really investigated the others except for Motec PDM which is out of my price range. Definitely interested in hearing if anyone has any direct experience.

Thanks guys,

I'll keep digging.

I love doing wiring, it's one of my favourite things to do.

I want to modernize the electrical system completely.

Cheers,

Craig
