Matt's 1995 Casablanca Urs6 Build!

Post by CassaUrS6 »

Hey Guys,
Im new to the site and wanted to at least start a build thread to show the progress of my build. For the people who dont know me im Nick's younger brother (AMDISTHEBEST) and we have what you would call a good old fashion sibling rivalry in the works with our 5cyls.
My plan is close to the same but not exactly. I had a Stage 3 B5 before starting my search for a good condition Urs4/S6 im not a big fan of the type 44 chassis :o My plan as follows is

Hta Super 94 turbo
Iroz motorsports Manifold/Downpipe
Tial 44mm
Tilton Twin Disk with LW 034 Flywheel
My head will be assembled by Iroz Motorsports with stock size valves, Supertech valve train and some light porting work accompanied buy a set of Cat cams.
Fueling ive decided to let Nick take charge of this adventure and will mostlikely mirror the setup unless I decide to run a surge tank or just one big pump and new lines.
Bottom end will be a set of Forged rods with custom JE pistons 9.5:1 ratio, block slightly bored also.

Ill post update pictures through out the way when I get them of parts or the services completed by Hank at Iroz Motorsports.

This is just an overview of what is to be completed, but ill update as i make suttle changes and what not.

Heres a few pics of the car the day i picked it up and as it sits now.

Clear corners installed, 2.0T coils, 034 catch can, VEMS installed and 034 Full 3'' turbo back

Welcome! Looks clean. The bar is set pretty high but it looks like you're ready to play :)
Is that a euro bumper? What are your intercooler plans?

Yea its Casablanca the guy I bought it from said it was pearl but after looking into it its not. not a big deal I'm actually like it better. For the intercooler I'm going to have a company by us fab it up. Synapse turbo is the company, I'm hoping to get a 6 core or so in the front without having to cut the bumper at all, It is a S6 plus front bumper so I don't want to cut it at all. Theres a chance i might go air to water setup like Nick has but I'm waiting to have everything in place to see how much room ill actually have.

I have Euro bumpers too and the need for an upgraded IC. I'm thinking AWIC but I'm still a ways off from that project. Curious to see what you come up with.

Ill def. Keep you updated with what I end up doing, I was talking to a guy at 034 and he told me their kit will fit but you have to cut the rebar behind the bumper. But then i started thinking that with the manifold ill be runing and the size of the turbo it most likely wont even come close. I have to have the engine and turbo in to have it mocked up.

I heard the 034 Euro FMIC kit is no longer made or sold and it was only good for around 400 whp. Have Hank whip you up a custom IM with the AWIC core built in, it's only money ;)

Thats strange I was talking to a sales guy there let week lol. I already feel like I'm harassing Hank as it is with all my questions, but I think i need the engine in the car, manifold in, turbo on and a shop to fab it up. Well see what happens.

WAIC FTW :) No need to cut up bumpers. Not to mention, the S6+ bumper doesn't have a great opening for a large air to air either.

Lol, I'll be ordering the same one probably. We'll see how horrible this is to drive in his car. Though, there isn't really much else out there...

Pretty badass. You and your bro are going to have some of the nicest and fastest 5 zylinders in the states.

What material for your clutch did you go with? Metallic or Cerametallic?

I went with the cerametalic one. I'll post a pic of the discs.
