I just got my 3B head from the machine shop.
I got hallsender billet bits to hold the cps

I want to install it, but i need to know the exact location and I also have acces to AAN head.
But im looking for wisdom, how would you guys measure it?

I found this on s2forum, but i dont want to remove the cam shaft.

I had similar thoughts if I had to do the same. I was just going to make a bracket that bolted to the head in a few different locations on both intake and exhaust sides that wrapped around bolting to the cps location to make it hold it exactly where it is supposed to be to weld it in place. dont know how it would play out, but it seemed like a good idea.

Made a template from sheet metal

Intalled the bracket onto the template with 1 bolt and the mid pin

JB weld on the other side till its TIG welded

Came out perfect, enough clearance all around.
Thx

you're very welcome. glad it worked as well as I had envisioned. Now I know it can be done quite easily if I need to convert a 7A head. I also figured the same with a template for drilling the water manifold.
