What's up everyone,
Its been a while since I had been on here and posted stuff. I'm still working on my 200 trying to get it just right. The problem I have now requires someone with a bit more expirence then me. So one day I was driving with out any problem, then it was getting dark and turned on my lights. Everything lit up fine including my cluster, a few seconds later my cluster just turned off. I tried looking for a fuse but I can't find any fuse thats for cluster. I was wondering if an yone has had this issue? If so, can point me in the right direction or have any tips?
The car is a 1990 Audi 200 turbo FWD
Thanks!

Someone may know more about that specific failure, but they have typical problems with solder joints. If it's just the lights, you might just have a bad wire or something, but if it becomes an intermittent problem I would bet problems on the circuit board. I can help you with that, sent you a PM.

Re: *Need help fixing cluster*
Could definitely be a solder issue, but those will generally cause the cluster to fail in parts, and intermittently, usually.
However, the '90 model has two fuses associated with the cluster, but they can be easily missed amongst all the other things that run on the same circuit: #14 - a 5 Amp fuse responsible for lighting the cluster and #26 - another 5 Amp running the cluster itself.
Hope this helps!
