Hydraulic Throwout Bearings and You

So. In the midst if my research here for my vr6t build in my 90, I'm looking into replacing the stock TOB setup,with a hydraulic unit from tilton, quartermasters, etc. What I would like to know is for the few I'm aware of who have done it. What style tilton unit did you use? What clutch master bore wise? Thanks!!!

Paging Hayden, hows this setup been working out for you? did you ever get a different clutch master cylinder in there?

Next up, make the adator plate. I used some stainless plate that happened to be right in the middle of the thickness range I needed, result. The blue tape on the input shaft sleeve is to allow me to center the new bearing while making the bracket.



Once complete I checked measurements again and then mounted it with threadlock and hoses.



Drilled some holes for the hoses in the bellhousing.


Put it back in, bolted it all up, bled it (I need a better better bleeding / hose solution, gotta ordder some fittings. Changed out the 1" master for a new 0.7", tested and set the clutch stop


It works great, silky smooth, low force and feels nice. The only problem is that the clutch release is low in the pedal, meaning the clutch stop is pretty much all the way in. I will mess with the geometry, rebleed etc and see if I can get the release higher. I suspect a 0.75" master cylinder would be better and would fix this.
