01E and 016 output flanges.

Quick question, does anybody know if 016 and 01E output flanges are interchangeable?
I recently picked up an allroad tdi 01E and it's has huge output flanges for tripod inner cvs which won't work with my axles. I could pull the flanges out if ny current box but I want to sell it complete to recoup some £££. A guy has offered me some 016 flanges which have the same cv pattern, but my question is will they fit into the diff?

Yes they work, that is what everyone does who swaps in a 01E trans into any small chassis car. Did that on my own car. Just make sure to use the proper bolts, some have a chamfer on the mating surfaces.
