have you played with wiring recently? oil pressure could be swapped wires, but with both issues, maybe clean the grounds?

Cant say that i have messed with the wiring at all. Im the kind of person that just doesnt "get" electronics...

also, where would i clean those ground wires at? the far left gauge on the lower middle console... i think its the battery gauge? yeah thats what it is... Anyways, it doesnt always light up, but if i tap it gently, it comes back on.dunno if the gauges are just really old...

the car has over 285,000 miles on it t

i checked all the grounds that i could locate, and they are clean as a whistle.

no idea... Car drives great though, soo...

Also, anyone have a JHM shifter? I just installed mine and when im cruising and in neutral the shifter rattles like crazy. Unless i am holding the shifter a specific way to the side, it will rattle when going into 3rd and 5th. I can tell its not the transmission making the sound, but the i can feel it in the shifter. its really annoying.

i want it to be smooth.

unless i need new bushings or something in my shifter linkages? but i didnt see any heavy wear when i looked last.

update: I reinstalled the shifter again to see if i did it wrong. I think i did install it wrong a little. The weird little shifter arches that are underneath the shifter kinda short i think. I may install the shifter plate i had from the other shifter i had and see if it gives me more clearance so that the linkages dont make that rattling sound. It doesnt do it as bad now, but wow, what a difference...

Any helpful input is appreciated.

one trans mount in the rear is fubar, i need a new one or a used one.

its split in half. my rear diff bushing is shot too, but i cant afford a new one yet, forgot about my anniversary this week so gotta save my cash for a night with the lady.

it only rattles a little now. it feels really good shifting, and i am not sure how to adjust it for specific % throws.

Dont take this the wronge way, this is not a bash, but how the heck did you get ahold of a JHM shifter, and you still havent found a way to replace the broken mounts? The mounts are a lot cheaper than that shifter, I know that for sure, as I have been looking at picking one of them up myself.

trade deal.

cant pass those up.

i cant do the diff mounts because that would require me removing the diff and getting it pressed out.

i dont have time to have my car down, especially with school.

A JHM shifter is one hell of a trade score! Nice work.
