Bent over and porked by 034, again

Post by ur20v »

So the parts I ordered 22 days ago were finally shipped today. Via ground. Yep, no shipping upgrade mea culpas on their part. So now I get to wait yet another entire week before I get these parts that were originally supposed to ship within 2 days of my calling and placing the order. But seriously, after the piss-poor customer service I have recieved after this $800 order (and my very first $1500 order... damn, I guess I should have learned back then), why would I expect them to go the extra inch to help make me happy? They sure were happy to charge my credit card the moment I hung up the phone, however! It took numerous phone calls to figure out what the hell was going on. "Whats your name again? I can't seem to find you in QuickBooks" and "QuickBooks just crashed, let me call you right back" (yeah, that call never was returned). When I was finally able to pin down the sales person who took my order and never returned voicemails or phone calls after QuickBooks crashed, all I got was "Sorry, it was fabrication's fault. We're working on a new inventory system, it will be a better experience next time." Well, I'm working on a new system, too - it's called: "don't let the vendors fück me", so there isn't going to be a next time.

Funny. I've heard the same story before. It's mine.

They're okay in small doses, when parts are in stock.

Its about the bottom dollar at 034 these days, not about customer service or even pride in the parts... especially if you are in the (old) 5-cyl market. 034 has lost its hold on the 5-cyl market, but it isn't very big anyway, so it isn't a big deal for them. Why would they care if they keep us happy or not?

Because:

-- we network with other established and new enthusiasts or car owners needing oem-ish replacements.
-- any one of us could be another $10k easy revenue in basic mods and maintenance with a move to a (any!) different platform (IE b3-->b5/6/7/8, UrS-->996/997/991, etc)
-- keeping customers happy is job #1; that's how you create loyal return/referral business.

I'm somewhat (not completely) fed up with their lack of support (IE. common decency) with basic things like follow up and accuracy and and and ... so I find myself only grudgingly considering them for parts where I can't otherwise source the same, or better, from elsewhere at competitive, or better, prices. In the long run my experience with them has led to me finding more local sources and new vendors online. Not a total loss, but it is a bummer when you consider the old days (which I *barely saw).

Oh. And there's a *new 5cyl market just taking off; why not grab a strangle-hold on that revenue stream with your previously established market recognition from the achievements of the classic 5cyl era?

But. I digress. haha

After I pulled the motor from the URQ and found the 034 engine mounts just about ripped in half(less than 8000 miles on them) I decided that I will not be doing business with them anymore.

I also have been through the ringer with their customer service when I ordered a 20v cam and it took like two weeks just to get a response about what was going on.

Always fun when you have everything reassembled and are waiting for that one last part.

Alright, Fuck it.

i refuse to do business with Javad. ill go all the way around the left side of christmas to do business with someone else instead of with him. He is a poor business man in my eyes and a big fucking baby. I get cheated 1,000 dollars, because he couldnt fucking read the damned listing then he wants me to pay him back in full plus paypal fees even though, he didnt pay extra for paypal fees on his end??? Cause if i didnt do what he wanted, because he fucked up, i had to pay for it or he would file a claim and "take me for every penny i am worth".

When the whole Dramarider thing went down, i was annoyed that he did nothing to fix it. IN FACT, i sent my conversation to other people for professional opinions on what i should say to Javad to get him to work with me on getting HIS moderators to stop fucking around on MG. Did he help? NO. He only gave me excuses.

Then when he finds out by some birdy in the sky, (must have leaked) whatevs, he bans me from FB and his personal page. Then this on again off again bullshit on MG. Because i was trying to fend for a friend. If you know me, i will always fight for the underdog, shit simply if you are my friend ill fight for you. Like the whole "scandal" with Ron G. W. i didnt care what anyone said, i backed him up. I hardly know the guy, but i had received phone calls from him warning me to stay away from certain people. And you know what? He was ab-so-fucking-lutely right.

I defend the shit out of you Loxx, because of the many people who kept contact with me in Iraq, you were the MOST helpful. And you were there on late nights when i needed someone to chat with and no one else was up. It meant a lot. Of course im going to bat for you.

Here is the conversation between myself and Javad. Then you will understand my signature.

Hey Javad, I am unsure if you have heard or not. But some one changed and has disrespected another motorgeeker by changing their screen name with something and there a bunch of us who are quite unhappy with whomever thought it was a mature way to respond. I don't know if it was you or if it were one of your moderators. But I seriously think that it is very disappointing that it has happened. I love motorgeek, but that type of reponse is highly uncalled for.

I have zero involvement in MG, I stopped going there long ago because its an immature drama fest. It's unfortunate as I started it and contributed heavily to it for a long time, but it became such a miserable place of bickering, arguing and drama that I just couldn't stand to be there. The mods run it now, if you have a complaint please use the site support functions and put your complaint in that way.
Sorry but just being honest and real, I have found over the years the disrespect goes both ways, I don't know the situation but I'm sure if you look at it there is probably plenty of disrespect towards MG as well which probably provoked this in the first place.

i understand where you are coming from and im not doubting you. I honestly do not feel i can trust the mods at the site. I have tried valiantly to be courteous and polite. I have made some mistakes or errors, but i almost always own up to them.
i was getting harrassed by other forum members and the moderator i contacted did nothing to help me and instead chose to chastise me. When i was disrespected on a thread i had posted and i retaliated finally i was told i would be banned for fending for myself.
i understand its just the internet, but to get away from crappy army life, at the time it was my outlet and i was hoping to get away from the area of disrespect and be able to express myself.
Dont be sorry, i suppose its not anyones fault but the people who are butting heads. I just seriously dont appreciate good people being shit on. Ive had that for the past 7.5 years of my army life and i dislike seeing it ever happening to anyone else.

I hear where you're coming from. Nate and I own the site, it is free and there is no advertising, 034 pays for all the expenses of the site.
The only rule is that we don't allow any commercial posting on the site, and if you are a belligerent jack ass you will be banned.
Nobody ever thanks us for it, we only get grief and drama over juvenile Internet arguing. It's really a quandary what to do with the site but I've learned over the years that the site continues to grow and thrive, people who have left in the past always come back, other sites have been started that never go anywhere and there is always a group of difficult people there.

I see that you shared my private conversation with others, please don't ever contact me again Stephen, you broke my trust in a moment of honesty and weakness.
