nope. VEMS. I assumed Hank meant something that could swap a tune without having to pull out a laptop and connect up and do the swap. perhaps Hank thought I was Motronic....

I'm pretty sure it's as simple as a switch which either sends ground or +v to the ecu via an aux in (or whatever on that 6 pin connector) and that will signal a map switch.

It's pretty much just that simple. If you have a switch for your launch control, it can also do map switching ( not at the same time ) But its darn easy.

Yep. This is how we will setup dad's w/m injection with the AEM failsafe system. It sends a ground signal if it sees too much or too little flow. Then map switch and you're still okay to drive without being too concerned!

My bad, I thought you were Motronic still. On Vems, it is cake. Just gotta have two maps and a map select. Marc can set this up very easily. Hello 400wtq..

While still on Motronic I had bumped it up to see if it helped with the pinging (to about 4.3 bar)... it didn't. So when I came up for the VEMS install and tune I had to dial it back down and you said to set it at 3bar for whatever reason, something about something being happier at 3bar... I don't quite remember, all I remember is having to thread on that crappy gauge adaptor from you know who and set it, then I took it off once set. (their adaptor leaked).
Doesn't much matter to me, as long as the tune has what it expects. Would there be any reason to set it back to 4bar if moving to e85?

Depends, you may not have enough injector for E85 @ 3bar.
Which injectors? 60#?
I think he'll be ok. if you look at the taper on these billet rs2's the torque comes down anyway toward redline which is what taxes injectors (increasing revs at constant injector pulsewidth).
