Thanks, that's a bit old and I've adjusted it since. Yes I am firing simultaneous. I just changed it now so I'll see in the am. Also adjusted cranking 've to 30. Where is cranking pulse width?

Yeah, that means you are getting 4x the fuel you need, if you use anywhere near your idle VE. I do not really understand the use of that setting. My cranking VE is a bit higher than the idle VE.

I don't have an IAC so I just basically leave those settings alone. I also got it seemingly consistent tonight but I need it to cool down to verify. Individual firing and a bit more fuel. Up to 38% VE now. I like being on that end of fueling problems, much easier to fix :)

8-) WooHoo!

So I'd work on getting the cranking VE set to a good value for warm starts (no additional enrichments) then add enrichment back in so that your cold starts are nice.

Oh dear god YEEEEEEEEEEEES

Out with the old:

In with the new:

Can you say boost? I knew you could... Thank you Marc! They work great!

Only problem is it seems that my rear tires are completely bald, no tread left. Would/should make driving in the rain interesting. I may have to schedule an alignment (possible while this low?) and a tire install before Carlisle somehow. Doubt the wife will dig that very much. Shoot.

It seems like every day I think I have this thing beat it turns around and slaps me in the face. No start and flood this morning. The problem is that it takes a while to start, it just cranks and cranks before doing anything. So it's easy to jump the gun and tap the throttle thinking is not getting any fuel and end up flooding it.

I just don't understand how it's so damn sensitive. The slightest drop in temperature or throttle and boom, screwed.

One question - now that I've set the injectors to fire individually is the order more important? Again once running she's great, just don't know if it's hurting starting because of injecting at a less than ideal time.

Matt,

If I knew how VEMS worked I would have came up and tried to help you out. Hang in there, this is going to be a
really fun car when it's all said and done. I'm sure you know that already :D

Getting closer to Carlisle  !!

Let's see an updated config or log. Your temperature sensitivity could be from too much cranking enrichment.

Also, when cranking the throttle should be cutting fuel rather than adding it (flood control). You should see the INJ PW drop as TPS increases when cranking.

FWIW, tuning cranking/afterstart/warmup has been one of the most challenging things for me. I'm getting close but it is still not perfect.

Most recent config attached. I set cranking enrichment back to base tune values now that it's not (wasn't) flooding.

Also ed, interesting about the inj pw dropping as throttle is applied, so touching the throttle is NOT the cause of my flooding... Hmm. Will take a log while cranking. But $10 says it'll start now that it's warmer.

I'll try and take a look, I'm a bit limited at work.

Correct, WOT during cranking is "flood-clear" ie 0 inj pw. IIRC, 50% TPS = -50% of inj PW, when cranking.

So I pulled 27% out of your cranking enrichment curve across the board. Ideally, IMO, you don't want any cranking enrichment when it is warm, so I adjusted the whole curve by the amount needed to correct the hot value to 100%.

You'll probably have to increase your cranking VE value to account for the 27% drop.

I'm running the accel settings from Marc's "AAN" basemap.

Weird, Chrome will not upload but Dolphin does (phone).

Funny, I was just thinking about looking a it. I need to get my WB to cal first. I'm fairly sure that I'm running a bit rich at WOT.

Shoot. Ordered 4 new shoes tonight. Not really prepared to have to do that but what can ya do? Will be on, balanced, and aligned before Carlisle. At least the drive will be nice and smoooooth. Still a little surprised that they died so fast, and they look fairly even, but I'm sure it's gotta be an alignment thing.

Bridgestone re760s, 205/45r16. Loved them on the beetle and this car weighs the same, so high hopes.

If you run the base file acceleration enrich on big injectors in find that it is too much.
