Amazing work. Making it look easy too. I wish I had the tools and the space to play with them.

Nice Mike. Thanks for posting here. Let me know if we can help you in any way to get these panels into a section for people wanting to purchase.

Thanks guys,

I certainly wouldn't have started this without the other two plonkers....

It would be great to make a few more kits, and we will certainly look at the possibility but given the scope of building these "copies" I can understand why only a select few masochists pursue these as projects. For me seeing a genuine Copenhagen blue sport parked down the street from my brothers flat 25+ years ago in Edinburgh was the defining moment. Ever since its been a bit of an obsession. :bangshead:

Seeing the rolling shell back down on the ground, with the floors rebuilt was one of many steps in a very long process. There is another "few" days work on the metal work but so far so good. It really helped getting good quality parts from molds taken directly off a genuine sport as a starting point for our molds.
And it's nice to know you have something you can build and still source replacement body panels.

I moved this thread here because I didn't want to upset the folks at MG, I made a couple of posts that were edited and I understand completely why they were. But at the same time when you undertake a big project with a significant personal commitment (and realistically unlikely ever to be profitable) you need as many enthusiasts willing to share the burden as possible.

I will keep the on-going saga of my '83 ur-q rebuild, along with the rest of the fleet over on MG. As the only danger will be of highlighting how many parts 034 have still available for these old cars, and which I keep buying :D

So here's to the flip side. :drive:

Good to see you on here Mike.......

I think you're missing a few pics though.... :D

I'll see you Friday night for some beer drinking and project talk.

Cheers.

Yeah Mike, projects like this direct a ton of traffic, as people are addicted to skill sets that you and the Canadians have. I think if you put your projects where people are able to talk freely about obtaining them, you will find people coming out of the woodwork to build cars.

I still have my 2 door parts kicking around, though I think Brydon is close to putting a storage lien on them :)

Yeah, I figure that the two doors should cover the current accumulated storage fees associated with the roof-a-b-pillar section. You can deliver them at any time. By the end of the summer, you'll also need to bring back the A2 spoiler as well to cover the additional storage fees. :P
