i amy be needing a slave cylinder for the clutch, firewall brace works great but its still unwilling to pop back up after the pedal is depressed

so i could drop the trans and pop my old one back in so i dont have to try and swap the old one out while the trans is in the car still.

or like jim needing injectors, i could swap in a 16vT with my 01e and not have to replace it hahahahaha

but i do need an 01e slave and clutch line and shift linkage

my 4k did the same thing when i got it up and running, all i did was bleed the slave and it came into it. might try that, or again if you have its a lot easier then "dropping" the tranny

we already bled it a few times, try again before we pull it, and if i do ill put an o1e back in with a 16vT

might as well if you pull it out switch it out, not like you don't have a 4k to drive for the summer 8)

hmmmmm that works for the 016 locker to 016 torsen swap, as that housing came in mech and elec speedo cars, but i believe the 01e only came in elec speedo cars,

hmmm what to do about speedo signal??? :?

so it appears, after many bleedings, that my clutch slave is failing,

so do i...

pull the steering rack to get easy access to drill out the pin and swp slave cylinders

or

i have a good slave attached to a used 4k 016 box from my T-red car's swap, so i could swap out the whole gearbox and be done with it,

or

third choice

someone give me a obd2 ABA bottom end, wiring harness and ecu and ill be good to rip this JT the hell outta here and get the 16vT rolling!!!!!!

Why not just do the slave normally?

the 4kq's slave cyl. is pinned in there, not a bolt, yeah it sucks

drill it out and replace

sounds easy, its not

Yea. I know. You can get a punch through the tie rod hole. It's usually not really that hard.

will the pin push out the other side?

Yeah it just pushes out the other side, be sure to use a roll pin punch makes it easier. Just go through tie rod hole with a long extension (as mentioned above) but what's your symptoms? because it kinda sounds clutch master related and not slave. Is the slave pissing everywhere?

well we are going to go try and bleed it one last time, the pedal jsut doesnt want to return. even though there seemed to be extremely little air in the line
