Mmmmmanifold

That's a 3" velocity stack for sizing reference...ought to be plenty of volume

Why? It will be 10 times heavier than OE plastic ones that work just fine. Get a smaller ball size one form newer VW/Audi if you need realestate.

Why not build/raise the subframe right away vs. later on??

well firstly, it def wont weight 10x a stock plastic one, it will be a bit heavier, but also show me a way to attach AN fittings to the plastic resevoir.

if i come into extra time etc ill start building a subframe, right now the modified one works and will work fine to get the car rollign and driving, i can take a bit of material off of the upper portion of the subframe bushing to tuck the subframe a bit more. i will start building the v1.1 versions of parts once its further along and being refined not built first time around

Update time,
Motor is back in for a short time

The vr6 24v valve covers have a bump in them for the breather. The valve cover is from a transverse application. As you can see in the pics the VC has to be trimmed down so its not interfering with the hood. So I cut the breather portion off and made an aluminum plate to block the opening off.

Its now tig’d up by Ryan @ Higbee fab, and its back on car to test fitment.

i will be replacing the breather that i removed, probably with one large or two midsixed bungs off the front-facing oil filler cap hump thats in the VC.

so, a few breather bungs, some powdercoat and its good to go

More update!!
So I finally got a chance to tear into the cylinder head that I will be running. Its going to be stripped of all components, ported to r32 intake sizing (more on that to come), cleaned up and rebuilt.

The head has 68k miles and looks pretty clean

On to the PICS!!!
