Honestly I was expecting to see a much higher number when I went to their site...$500 seems pretty reasonable for a quality tank w/ brackets, fittings, etc. I'm sure the total is adding up quickly though :)

It certainly isn't unreasonable, I just wasn't prepared for it . I was thinking somewhere in the $300s. Mind you it is the 2.5 gallon one. Inclusion of fittings is definitely a plus.

Chris, any chance when this is all said and done you'll post up a part list with part numbers and prices for those of us who need to be scared shitless in order to convince ourselves that we don't need a dry sump/solid lift UrQ to be complete? :-)

Yeah, I spose I could do that. I'm trying to keep track of it now via spreadsheet. It should be enough to scare you that I have almost no expenses and make really good $$ at my job and I'm still basically broke lol.

It isn't looking good for Carlisle. Maybe the car, but probly not me. It looks like I'll be working in Saudi for three months straight from April through June this year. That might mean I can make it to battle borne though. There is a slight chance I could pull a seven week hitch and make it but it's not a big chance.

Nick, I'm not sure on the axles... I think I'm going to leave them stock for now (modified to fit of course) and then when I break one or two, I'll see about getting some custom made. The budget on this thing just keeps getting blown out of the water. Especially when we start thinking about Koenigsegg head work.

Just kidding... lol. I'll be sure to let you know what we figure out unless you figure it out first.

Some things I've been thinking about lately:

Turbo is going to be S376. Just trying to figure out whether I need a fancy one or not. The new ones with J-type comp wheel and race cover compressor housing cost a LOT more than a normal one.. like $1000 more. I may get one with the new turbine wheel and without the race cover as I don't really need the extra CFM which is what those are supposed to help with (comp wheel is rated for 115 lb/min, I don't need quite that much... but close!). The newer turbine wheels are a little bigger in inducer and exducer dimensions so they obviously out-flow the old ones, but the key is that they out-respond the older, smaller wheels apparently. The only thing is that I just really wish I could get one with a billet comp wheel. I feel like the more response I can get, the better. Maybe I'll have to get a bullseye version or one of the forcedinductions billets.

The fuel system is a pretty big concern now too. I'm pretty sure I want to go with a single big Weldon pump with PWM controller for street use. Some people don't like them because of how loud they are, but with the controller they are actually fairly quiet from what I've seen in videos and heard from people who have them. I've also determined that the car will absolutely require 2000 cc or bigger injectors. I'll probably go with FIC 2150s because they are local to me, but I don't like that they have issues with E85 if they sit without being flushed for a while. I am always gone for long periods of time, so that is no good.

The clutch needs to be addressed. As discussed in Zerb's thread, the clutch hubs need to be changed out. We need to figure out if Tilton will just let us have new hubs or if we will have to buy disks to get the hubs. If I have to buy new disks it just means I'll have backups later.

The damper needs to get figured out soon. Apparently ATI doesn't want to work with this project, so I will have to go for Fluidampr. I am a little leery of using their dampers at such high RPMs, so I/Marc are going to get in contact with them to see what they have to say about it. I've also expressed my discomfort in relying on the friction of the crankshaft bolt to hold everything (damper, crank cog, ds cog) from slipping at high torque loads... especially with high rate springs and high lift cams (not an issue if we could go the Koenigsegg route :P) making extra torque on the crank cog. To that end, we are going to pin the damper to the crankshaft so there is a bit of a backup if the bolt were to slip.

I know I am forgetting something that I wanted to mention... oh well.
