One nice thing about going to 18's is that you can find cheap scrubs, either DOT's or full race slicks. 17's are starting to fall by the wayside.
It is also very tough to find anything wider than 8" in a 5x112, which is why I adapted to 5x114.3.

They look like 034's.

The 034 fender have, or at least had, the arches that extended all the way down to the rockers last I saw.

Been a long time since I've made any updates but making some progress finally after finishing a few other projects for clients.

Roll cage is in, fuel cell is in, steering is done and the engine looks good in its home.

What turbo are you thinking about? On track next summer?

gt35ish with the new billet wheel or the BW equivalent. This summer could be a stretch on the budget. We shall see. I've been looking at some spendy electronics to control the engine.

Jacob who works for Bosch Motorsport is my roommate :D We've been talking about the bosch units but also looking at pectel and the motec power distribution units are really nice to add in some more fun electronics.

I'm curious as to what specs the cage was built to? Also how is headroom with the overhead v as opposed to a roof "X" I'm also curious as to why you tied the cage into the side of the rear suspension towers as opposed to the top of the shock mounts. (dissipate shock loads through the cage)

The fuel cell/cover is gorgeous!

I'll have to look tonight. Jeff Gerner (bonneville car builder) built the engine for me through Four Rings Performance.

Cage was built by a friend who I traded some electrical wiring/calibration work for. I don't plan to get too serious and run NASA or SCCA so he built it to his liking with some NASA/SCCA specs as guidance. There is tons of head room with the V because he did a slightly higher center point of the rear hoop. As for the rear strut tops, I don't know. I noticed that as well but it does not bother me too much. Thanks for the comments.

You can't run with SCCA even if you wanted to - no class to fall in. But why dismiss NASA? After all this work and really well setup car(I'm sure it will be when done) you should put it to good use, and not just use it for random track days...well, it is your car and you do what you want with it, but I thought I'd throw my $.02 in.

What do you plan on doing for the sunroof opening, and you never told us where those flares came from??

Yeah, NASA would be cool but I have too many hobbies. I spend a lot of weekends traveling to Kentucky to rock climb. I just like to do things right and so the car will be well setup. My DD B5 S4 is the same way. I'd rather just pick out 5 or so weekends of the year to get to the track and on occasion take the car out on the open road or get to car meet ups and such. Maybe even a few days at the drag strip for fun.

Will have the guys who do the body work just weld in some sheet metal for the sunroof. Flares were from a local guy who dug them up from his collections. They should fit with a little work and were super cheap.
