Ben's Oceanic 4kqt - BBQ X readiness - The last year

Post by 85oceanic »

OK So I have finally decided to start my 4000 thread... again. It has been a long time comming, but now it's time for the Audi to gain my full automotive funds haha. It was put on hold because of this ...

Current day:

^^^^ Not me :P

So anyways back on the 4kq, What I have got so far is a 1985 Audi 4000S Quattro. I have big plans for it, but I will go into that more later on. SO for starters here are a couple of pics, and vids of it.

I will post up some more later on with pics my stereo work thus far, the check off list and to do list hahahaha :D . Hope you all enjoy watching the progress!

I'm tempted to make an AWD 20vt S10 std cab short bed. :) I'll have a spare engine/tranny/diff when I'm done tearing apart my CQ.

SO mostly what I have done thus far is rutine maint. like T-Belt, water pump blah blah blah. But I have done some modding such as:

I replaced the crappy torn up leather seating it originally had w/ "Quattro" Seats out of an 87

Image

Stereo Install which includes Inifinity speakers and amp, Sony head unit and Rockford P1 Sub oh and with home made dash grills, (The trunk is still unfinished). I will be carpeting it all and molding the sub into the side that it is now setting at:

A/C Delete and added a vent block off plate for future guages:

I also did a "get me bye" Exhaust set up w/ a flowmaster (It's not very good so please don't be to critical)

So anyways, that is what's done so far. My to-do list is massive but I will give you the shortened version as of now:

3.6 or 4.2 V8 Swap with a vortech supercharger from a 5.0 mustang and 034
Paint wether it is Gray or the original blue not sure yet
Brake upgrade with brembos from an STI w/ 17s wearing Bridgstone Potenza RE760 Sports
Short Shift kit
Coilovers of some sort
Rear swaybar though I am not completely sold on that yet
Finish my stereo install (work out quality issues)
Maybe a 5 lug conversion

But ya that's major items on the list. I am welcoming input of all kinds so lets hear your thoughts! Thank you!

Bonus Pics :D

Even better. It would be tons more reliable, and better off road.

It shows on ats-wheels.com, don't have any idea where to get them, though. They've probably got distributors listed somewhere on their page.
