Hot dog that looks great. Keep up the momentum Darin. Did the exhaust hook up? What's the hangup with the linkage ?

The exhaust matched up nicely. I still want to add a brace to it. The linkage is now too far turned the other way, which is my fault since I marked it when the tranny mount was bent.

You're making progress Darin, the bolts and brackets will come to you..... if not, us crazy utahn's are only a phone call away... I won't be touching my coupe until I finish an LS2 swap into a miata for a customer, which reminds me, I should be working on wiring not surfing the web....

I have a floating holiday and am taking this Wednesday 8/1 off. Dave (Hatch) is arriving at about 12:30. Anyone else is welcome to come lend a hand! I need the crank locking tool that I hear Nick or Chris has and will be happy to come get it. The plan is to get it all done.

Must get motivated and get this done!!

Looks great Darin. I am on the Dave Hord 1hr per night routine trying to get it back together. It's painfully slow, but will be worth it.

Good work Darin! Couple of days and be done sounds great. Sounds like you might as well come up to pikes peak then.

Re: Darin's 80tq...MOTIVATED...

Took the day off today and with Dave's help, a lot of progress was made. Thanks Dave for spending half your day with me in my garage. Too bad you aren't very good at finding bolts.

We actually might have made more progress if all my bolts I've ever accumulated from 4 different cars wasn't spread all over my garage floor. Oh, and if I had taken some pictures of how the A/C compressor went back on. We solved the puzzle, but it took us a little bit of trial and error...and time.

Image

The "To Do"

Engine ground
Wiring the two transmission sensors
Getting all the turbo lines sorted
One or two more hoses for the radiator and firewall
Intercooler and plumbing
double and triple check everything
add fluids
bleed brakes
...and solve the 01E puzzle.

:stupid: Why do you think they call it "Death Valley" ? I wish the air in the Urq was a bit better, but on the road it definetly helps. I'm with you Darin, on keeping A/C.

Think it was an aan cut and tanked by hank that is a 20v pump like off a 4k motor with some spacer bars to move it out farther

That is actually a 3b. I have 6 more on the shelf waiting to be cut up :) The AAN runners move too far out to put a plenum on and get the radiator to fit.

i believe the pump is "original" to the car meaning from the 20v that the 80 had from the factory, and yes it has custom spacer brackets to put it in the right position.
