DUDE! I hope you have a great time at the track! I reread all 90+ pages of your Lago thread last night and it was like a sad story. As an aspiring CPA I hope it isn't in a CPA's DNA to have a rough go with Audi projects! :P Have a great time at the track man! You deserve it man.

Are you going too, Dave? So this is only like few hours in the PM on Wednesdays? What a tease...

Guys, be sure to bring some string to tie your arms below elbows...so those needles can go deep into the vein;-)

3 hours at the track. They set up cones to limit the full potential of the track and release cars one at a time every 15 seconds or so. You go around once and then get back in line.

Here is Hank last year.

I remember now. Sort of a lame format as you can't "get into the groove" and work on consistency. They really shouldn't block off corners as the track was designed with safety in mind. They may very well be crippling it that way and making it worse even though your speeds might be lower? Try and find someone to right-seat with you who knows the track, don't try to scare them as they already will be, and don't try to impress them as you won't be able to;-)

Have fun!

What a blast! We only got on the track for 3 laps since somebody in a Mini Cooper put a rod through his block and emptied all his oil on the Attitudes section of the track. They couldn't clean it in time for another turn.

The addiction is official now...there's no turning back. The car was a blast to drive. I opened up the 3" dump switch out the side of the car and enjoyed every minute of it.

The first time out on the track was my first time on a track ever. It was pure adrenaline as I proceeded to pay no attention to apexes, line...whatever. I was simply wide open throttle and grinning the whole time. The second time out I really pushed the car, having no idea what gears to be in on any of the turns...it was all experimental. The second to last turn, which in my opinion was the trickiest, I came in way too hot, downshifted and throttled hard before I even got into the turn. Was probably full boost exiting the turn and lost it, couldn't correct and put it in the dirt. It was epic!!!! I'm sure the video will surface shortly.

The third and final time out I paid more attention to my lines and didn't drive like someone was shooting at me.

So what did I take away from it all? I love the car. I'm so very happy with the purchase. I have a lot to learn about how it handles and what it can do. It's fast. 340whp is a lot for a rookie track driver...probably too much. I have a few little things to tinker with on it now that it's been to the track. I'm not going to mess with the power at all, it's well sorted in that department.

Finally...7 years of heartache and disappointment...gone.
