Hmm... I thought British Citizens do not require a Visa into US?
You just pay a special $5 pass at the border.

Looking forward to next year.. are you going to attend our next meeting?

Cheers

That's interestin' according to our info, we have to have a visa that's valid for two years. When we were looking at going on a Cruise last year that was a requirement. Will have to investigate further!
Should be down for June's meet.
Do you think anyone would be interested in a day out to the Wingham Anchor Pub for a "mini meet" one weekend ?

I think we can swing that... might be a good excuse to organise a day trip like we did last summer, find some good roads and we'll be there.
Can discuss details in couple of weeks.

Nope they changed it recently to maybe applicable, to apply for a visa to visit the US it's a formality though pay $17 and pay on a website job done if you dont qualify for VWP

Long time no update... not much new, we attended Vagkraft car show last weekend, my car was the only vintage Audi so the class was scrapped, but she looked good. The only other 5cyl Audi in the show was the RS2 from QC.

We also had a nice drive to Wingham few weekends ago.
Couple of shots thanks to Ian.

Say... Didn't you go to to the BerlinKlassic show last year?

Any better turnout for older cars than at VAGKraft?

You running a sport quattro passenger side engine mount?
So you can bolt that manifold into it?

Frank, yes, I was at Berlin K last year, I found it better than VK because it had more vintage stuff, aircooled VW etc. Even an iltis.
I'll be there again this year! See you there??

James, No, I am not running the mount, this is also not a real SQ manifold but the Wagner Evo version, I am told the casting is heavy enough that it does not need any support. 11,000km so far and all looks well. It is a heavy bastard of a thing.

End of the thread for this one. Car has been sold and moving onto next chapter in its life.
It will be missed dearly. Hope it brings as many smiles to the new owner as it did to me.

Sorry to see her go Martin.

However after seeing your parts stash first hand for the sport project, and knowing the build details, your urq is going to look like kid's play when compared to the Sport :-)

Onwards and upwards!!

Cheers,

Kevlar trunk lid and sump guards will be on their way soon.... now if I could just throw the parts together and make them stick somehow that would be great.. ;)

Shannon's new look... I can finally share what she has become.

Some may hate it... I think other cars would have been more suitable for such project... however the new owner does as he wishes....

Holy cow. I agree this was not the car to do that with, being so damned clean, but the new look is definitely pretty sweet. Just wish they started with something a little rougher. In a few more years I would have loved to buy this!
