I just ordered a QTP valve, they seem to have the market share, and include a harness which makes testing easier until I convert it to use a WG actuator.

Here's a few updates. I got the dump valve and started building a flange for it. Instead of welding strait to the 3" 3-bolt flange, i wanted to use my press to try and flare out a flange to match the QTP downturn I decided to pickup.

It turns out that old 016 came in handy, the drive flanges work perfect!

I also decided to re-do my fuel lines in anticipation of the dump valve being in the area. I had a mess cobbled together under here from a dyno day 3 years ago when we discovered I was out of fuel. I have been trying to address this for a long time, but there was never a good way to route the lines. I finally figured it out and am really happy with the way it turned out. Hopefully this helps anyone else who has converted to or is planning on converting to AN fittings.

Lets' see, here is a new to do list before spring mountain in April
-Don't wake up the baby and piss off the wife
-Rebuild driveshaft - rebuilt, just need to install
-Figure out a rear LSD - I might have dropped off a diff at Autotech today for evaluation :)
-Finish exhaust without waking up the baby and pissing off the wife
-Rebuild transmission
-Figure out a water injection pump cooling solution, It should not be 108 outside like last time it overheated on me, but regardless, it needs to happen

Who the hell put the baby's room next to the garage anyways! lol

LOL, awesome list. I think #1 on the to-do list is #1-100 on mine. Then comes the car work.

Love the parking spot, gives you some protection from the zombies in minivans that might use your car as a door rest ;)

The beginnings of a boost actuated dump valve. Eat shit ATP and Sound Performance for not having anything in stock or being priced 3x too high.

That's cool, so you're just modifying a QTP one then? Did you buy the QTP plate separately or did you have one already and just decided to cannibalize it? Looking forward to this.

I bought the entire QTP valve and am modifying it. Ideally I will set it up as boost and electric actuation similar to a TB with cruise control. The idea is so i could force it open at all times. I might even try a TB some day but I think the tolerances are too close for high temp use.

I think I'll be happy with the boost actuation though. I need it to open at high boost no matter what with this new exhaust design because a single 2.5" chokes the motor.

I was driving around with the valve open and although it sounds insane, I really like having the cat on there and a civilized exhaust at stoplights and cruise so doubt it would ever run it wide open, even at the track. If I did want to, I am only one nut and a zip tie away from an open exhaust.
