Jim, totally handy for tuning the zones that are always missed because the pesky turbo keeps spooling up.

Car looks great Jim. Haven't checked out your thread in a long time. Love the new additions and the flare work. So cool!

Just got the car back from paint, here is a teaser shot of the spoiler and shaved doors. I will hopefully have the new wheels ready by Friday, it looks so silly without wide tires.

Ha, I always wanted to do that for temporary uses.
This car is just going to be incredible with the meaty wheels/tires on it. You've done an awesome job!

Thanks everyone. I also carry a block off plate in the trunk for garret turbos incase the chra takes a dump. Then I can just remove the chra, install the plate and get the car home
I have not ha to use it in a long time thank god.

LIKE!
Got me thinking to how easy it would be to make a Holset block off plate, since the center section attaches with a v-band. Nice thing to have in the trunk for sure.

Nice, Jim, but now I won't recognize the car when I see it. Won't be easy to spot, except for the massive flares and steamroller tires.

In the wild baking the paint in the sun, and why I am not in the garage putting the car back together. It's a celebration b*tches.

I'm not sure I'll know how to act around a hot Ginster car with BIG fender flares and bigger tires, that is all one shade of yellow. Nice! Are you happy with the paint job?

John, I am very happy with it. They did exactly what I asked them to do and for a great price. I am still getting used to the new "color". I was hoping to have the wheels on today, but the tires will not be in until Tuesday. I really like the way the spoiler turned out, but it really needs the wheels to make it look right.

DAMN JIM! The car is very droll worthy. Big thumbs up from me!!!!!

That thing is sweet jimmy. Hopefully I can setup enough this week to get your new setup in the mail!
Re: Re: Jim Green's 90q 20vt - wingy
Both my computers have died over the past 2 days so I am looking at the pic of the car on my phone - I can't tell, but did you have your sunroof welded up?
And which page explains how you did the fender flare metal work? I'm interested in having someone form box flares for my CQ, though the rears might be slightly difficult, to put it mildly... I might have to resort to larger flares like yours if steel box flares aren't an option.

Re: Re: Jim Green's 90q 20vt - wingy
The sunroof is still there. I'll probably delete it if this thing gets a cage. I put most of the trim on tonight and it's looking pretty good. Check the first page of this thread, there are links to various stages. I am adding these as people ask me about milestones on the car. If anyone has links they think should be on the first page, let me know.
Re: Re: Jim Green's 90q 20vt - wingy
Finally it's all the same shade of yellow.
It looks fantastic Jim!

Re: Re: Jim Green's 90q 20vt - summer stage
Most of the trim is back on, but I still have not got the doors back together.
I decided that I was going to put the sway bars back on on the car while waiting for Hank to move
The front went well, I used Energy bushings on the end links and it is nice and solid. The rear on the other hand with the billet control arms and offset subframe is proving to be rather difficult. I have it in place, but need to figure out how to connect a rod end to the control arm and modify the swaybar mounts by lowering them 3/4".
Add to that I want to fix all of the rock chips and clear bra a bunch of spots that have proven to be rock magnets..
Then to top it off, this arrived on Thursday
I was just going to toss it on and drop an awesome dyno run on everyone, but I can't get it together that quick and I want to share!

So I dropped all of my other unfinished projects and dove right into what I believe to be the most difficult part of this. The oil drain is buried in the hotside, so you have to get really creative. Where there is a belt sander, there is a way. I angled the oil drain flange and offset the holes a little so it would fit. There is less material on the flange, but I think it should be good to go.

Then onto some porting of the great adapter Hank made. It's difficult to transition from a huge circle (Large Tial V band) to the rectangle inlet on the T4 in about 1". I am really happy with it.
