This is my JB Racing Lightweight Aluminum Flywheel with ~35k miles on it.
I contacted JB Racing to get a price on a full rebuilt and it's $150 to send it to them and have them redo it and send it back..
Basically with that rebuild kit you're getting a new flywheel for a nice discount. List price ...

Re: UrS4 VEMS Questions...
I bet the wastegate spring is much more than 5-7 psi in that car. Ed was not dumb enough to try and run 35psi on a 5 psi spring. The spring should be at least 14 psi. You either have a leak or the turbo is not spooling (physical blockage). Does it spin smoothly?
Yeah it's spinning freely. I took ...

Re: UrS4 VEMS Questions...
A log would help immensely here. At least to verify everything that VEMS is seeing is normal. Seems like spring pressure but that depends on your spring setup in the WG.
I'll get some logs today...
Wastegate seems fine, I took it apart and even tested it and it seemed all good. Going to maybe ...

Just going to have it repaired and throw it on when I end up doing Pistons and going really apeshit. Only going for a reliable 550whp on E85 for now. Shouldn't be too much of a problem especially with Marc tuning.

UrS4 VEMS Questions...
So after a few reoccurring stupid issues I finally got my car running and driving pretty good...
Just emailed Marc and hopefully he can fit me in the first week of December to get Da Fridge tuned..
However before I make the trip over to EFI I have been trying for months to just get the car ...

Re: Pete's 92' UrS4 Build "da fridge" is back :)
Fuel is the only potential variable, and the fact that you removed the head. You're only ~300ft closer to sea level on Long Island than in Pittsburgh - that is not enough to make any significant difference. And the valves were not "leaking" at any point under my ownership - last compression test ~6 ...

Re: Pete's 92' UrS4 Build "da fridge" is back :)
The clutch is definently slipping- however it only slips in the first 15 minutes of driving- once I get it warmed up the slipping stops. Not sure how or why but it's weird...
Mind you I've never launched the car, quick shifted or anything and before the head was out it didn't slip not once. First ...

Soaking the injectors in gas to get rid of some gunk and new plugs going in since these were in during the rich first starts.
Hope that does the trick..
034 Twin Disc flywheel and tilton twin disc clutch. Might do E85 pistons and axles over the winter too. Going for 700whp next year

Re: Pete's 92' UrS4 Build "da fridge" is back :)
So after a few weeks of fine tuning i got her running like a lot better thanks to the help of Marc S and Nick S (AMDISTHEBEST)..
It's still only on 25PSI and wastegate pressure so the boost comes in late, but when it hits, it sure hits alright...
After the first drive i had severe clutch slip in ...

Yup, fired right up. Didn't drive it yet. Just want to make sure all the sensors are correct before I drive it

Re: Pete's 92' UrS4 Build "da fridge" is back :)
Injectors were sent out and I had the fuel system tested..
Not sure what else to look into bedsides that..
Only other thing I'm thinking is I hit a bump as I hit the limiter and the car free revved for a second. Not sure if it over revved?
I'm going to log as soon as it's back together and then ...

Pete's 92' UrS4 Build "da fridge" is back :)
So most of you probably know this car from Ed (Edigreg). I purchased the car from him back in early May and immediately fell in love with the car. I had a 93' with a built AAN by FRP along with VEMS and a 30R however i had a few issues with that car and unfortunately had to part it out and sell it ...
