How about when the shifter does not center itself, in line with 3rd and 4th? I saw where one was all floppy in there. What is that and how hard is it to fix?

Wouldn't you want something with a center locker if you really want it to perform?

Re: Kirk's Lifted Audi CQ Project: Audi Expo 2016
needs a diesel and an intake sticking out of the body and running up to the roof.
so with a 1.8t and auto, you realize it is an allroad mini, right? You could just buy an allroad with 2.7t and auto for cheap, and still have a lot to work on, you know?
the uniqueness of the cq is cool though.

Re: DIY 01e 1/2 shift collar fix?
I have replayed that advice so many times now. I was tempted and would maybe go for a rebuild/upgrade next time, but dog gone, I have two C5 2.7t A6s that each have 300k ish miles on them and the worse trans shifts well and the better trans shifts crazy well for an 01E. I am gentle on them though ...

Re: DIY 01e 1/2 shift collar fix?
goes to the left just fine in N but moving shifter forward for 1rst or pulling back for 2nd is rough and requires a lot of force. Hank's 01e that was in his UR when it was a 2.2 with gt35 felt pretty close to the same IIRC. What do you figure the issue is with mine?

Re: DIY 01e 1/2 shift collar fix?
Mine is in the car now and it shifts into 1/2 but it is a bugger. It helps to blip the throttle to send some vibration through the drive line, feel the gate the best you can, and try to be as gentle as possible while still using a lot of force....Think this would have shown up, outside the car ...

Re: 034 IIc question (MG is not the right place)
So you can only see the outermost edges of the cross hairs, so you see the cell it is operating in, just harder to see than it used to be, before the update?

Re: 034 IIc question (MG is not the right place)
Biggest complaint: crosshairs are covered up on active cell on main maps!
so what exactly does that look like? No hint as to what cell the car is operating in?

034 IIc question (MG is not the right place)
So after the upgrade that came out years ago, what were the new downsides? Did I hear something about more picky timing wheel requirements and no cross hair or highlight for the cell that the car is operating in? Etc?
