Re: Rich's 2003 Audi S8 restoration.

I always dream of picking one of these up, manual swapping it and driving it daily. Probably won't ever happen. For now I'll just have to live through your build!

Ton of great work to just sell it. But we have all been there, too many things to do.

Awesome. Those control arms look great!

Did you have to get longer flexible brake lines/ABS wiring? It looked a little stretched in one of the pics.

Re: URS6 Avant 5.2

Why not just fix the 4.2? I guess I mean get another 4.2 and build it up a bit. Seems like the setup was getting dialed in. Get a proper tune on it with a healthy engine and it would be great.

Re: George's ABZ'd B4 90

I got used to it to be honest. But it just makes it so much easier to push in the corners when you don't have to think about steering so much. :D

Just put it up for sale on facebook and it looks like I have someone flying in tomorrow to buy it. Went really fast, and its def bittersweet. :idunno ...

Yeah its bittersweet to get rid of it. I gotta tell you, facebook gets you a lot more traction with selling stuff than this place

The ABZ ECU is ME5 by the way. It started in 1997, so its old.

FS : **SOLD** 1994 Audi 90, V8, Pearl White

Reluctantly I am putting this up for sale. I'm only putting it up on this site initially because I don't want to sell and really don't need to sell. I just have many projects and other stuff going on in life that are more important. I hate seeing this car sitting around and not being enjoyed.

I'm ...

Add an additional ground when trying to start. Its funny how easy it is to forget a ground which can prevent starting.

Re: URS6 + 4.2T Getting Them Breakin Miles

I am not an expert, and have some related experience just messing around at home with my TIG and looking up various techniques.

Personally I have a habit of putting too much current into the part. With SS I have see good welders use slightly less amps, let the puddle form more slowly and then add ...

Re: George's ABZ'd B4 90

The throttle bodies on the ABZs, in the states, are the same for the years. I have gotten couple for parts. I don't know if it makes a difference, but the throttle bottles for the Automatics are different from the cars that came with manuals.
On automatic throttle bodies, both butterflies open at ...

Re: George's ABZ'd B4 90

I never ended up changing anything. I'm still also wondering if maybe each model year got a different throttle body or tune or something silly that I'm not thinking of since I'm mixing parts from 97-99 ABZs with seemingly different results.

I really have no clue on a price, but I usually having a hard time selling stuff in a state I'm not happy with. When I get it to a point where its sale-able, Ill hit you up. I doubt many people are looking for project cars at this point anyway.

Re: George's ABZ'd B4 90

The car has been running well as of late, not any issues have popped up. Nothing that I wasn't already putting off fixing. When i installed coilovers on the front of the car the quality of the struts was questionable, and the application was also in question because I think I am hitting the bump ...

Re: URS6 + RS6 = URRSS66 Avant?

You can flow more argon to begin with to clear out the air in the exhaust, but if you tape up, or fit up all your joints perfectly so there are almost no leaks other than the joint you are welding you don't need hardly any flow. Just enough to keep a slight positive pressure inside of the pipe.

See if you can get ahold of Breakout Motorsports in NY. I have had good luck with Brandon in the past, although I'm not sure he is still in the business.
