Re: 1.9 TDI into 90q: The mad dash for Carlisle
Looks great Dana, my mad dash for Carlisle is still on but still planning on going . Any interest in convoying if your going down 91? I won't have much of a shake down done on my car either, hoping to drive it to work most of the week if I get everything done this weekend.

Re: 2.7 corrado mid engine
So a mk4 jetta that was being scrapped donated it's front strut towers to the cause, though the only part needed was the structure inside it that holds the strut mount. It needs to be cut down some to fit in the rear towers but will look OEM which I strive for. After a bit more fitting with the ...

Re: 2.7 corrado mid engine
Finally a minor update , we've been collecting parts and trying to make it as OEM as possible to make it clean and to make itserviceable in the future. I had a set of 7a trans brackets kicking around so this trans being pretty much a FWD o1a I figured they they would work out fine. I think I'm ...

Re: Home made waste oil burner
Thanks I think 150 gallons might last me all winter. I've had no issues with it now that I have the needle valve in the feed line. I'm pretty sure this will hold up for awhile nothing is thinner then .125 except I've gone to a thin ss bowl for the burn pot, it gets hotter faster to start easier and ...

Re: Home made waste oil burner
So I've had it running for a week now, but before that the 1st test failed I flooded it and instead of spilling all the diesel I was using to test it I just figured I burn it off. That was a bad idea it was rolling coal like crazy so I made the second bad decision and turned the whole propane tank ...

Re: Home made waste oil burner
Ok so now that the chimney was done I could move onto the waste oil furnace, the main part of the furnace is an old propane tank. Some how I don't own a plasma cutter yet so I luckly have really generous friends and I was able to borrow one for a long weekend to get 90% of the cutting done, this ...

Home made waste oil burner
I found a few version of this on YouTube so I figured I would give it a shot myself, with the price of scrap low I went to the local salvage yard that the air gas plant scraps all there bottles and got some supply's. 1st off I built a new chimney since my stove pipe one was getting rough, I used 6 ...

Re: 2.7 corrado mid engine
Ok so the current owner bought the car as a 1.8t swapped car, cool car for sure but some of the swap was a little rough and he wanted something a more on the wild side. His 1st thought was a 4.2 in the middle so he bought one and talked me into building the new swap, we did the measurements and it ...

2.7 corrado mid engine
So I've taken on the fabrication phase of this project and thought it would be good to document it here for all to see, the owner had gutted the car before he brought it to me so I was able to jump right into the fabrication. Here's I couple pics to get started, a more thorough update will follow.

Re: C5 40v 6spd swap Help.
From the research I did at the time the best option I found to use stock components was a b5 2.7 fw with 3mm machined off the friction surface and the pins modified and then a stock b6 rs4 pp and disc. I had found this info in a couple places. I just decided in the long run I wanted new parts vs ...

Re: C5 40v 6spd swap Help.
I've been slowly working on this swap in my s6, I ended up going with the jhm flywheel kit which uses an aluminum flywheel( unknowing to me was made by 034) designed to use a stock rs4 pressure plate. The rs4 engine is rated at 340hp same as my engine so should have a nice stock feel and hold fine ...
