Re: What to drive daily?
Ive deen daily driving my 80 avant quattro for years. I replaced the 2.6 12v with a 2.8 30v as its a super easy swap and has been very reliable, starting to get a bit bored with it so im making use of a urs6 avant body i had left over from taking the 20v out and will be fitting a 40v from a c5 s6

Re: 01A 4000 1.8t questions
The 1.8t will bolt up with using the original 1.8t clutch and flywheel. You will have to modify your gear linkage, find the right size driveshaft and figure out a way to make the speedo work as on the 016 box its cable driven and on the 01a its electronic

Re: B4 5 lug swap question
You can use b5 quattro rear hubs all round, with them in the rear you need to use b5 rotors and on the fronts just drill your rotors to 5x112. They are 75mm so if you have a v6 b4 you will need the front carriers from either a 4 or 5cyl b4, coupe or b3
The problem is, the coupe and the B4 here in ...

Re: 01e oil cooler
A lot of the benefit is just dumping fluid on the torsen back there. A loop is a lot of the gain and the pump 01e has more capacity. Unless outright race car or tow rig, I think you are good to loop.

The 01e I have bought for a project has pipes off it for an oil cooler, do I need to use a cooler or can I just loop the lines up?
