Re: So on a scale from 1 to screwed. . .

Well I forgot to update, but Kuma came to the rescue and let me know he never threw the originals away because he never got around to it so thanks for the info everyone, I definitely love learning about new things like this lol.

Re: So on a scale from 1 to screwed. . .

Yea it just sucks. I need a 2.2 block in order to put these AAN pistons to use tho so a 7A won't work for me.

Re: So on a scale from 1 to screwed. . .

I'm guessing based on the number of views and lack of replies that I am probably right in my assumption that I now have a 5cyl paperweight.

So on a scale from 1 to screwed. . .

For the past few years I've been planning and slowly picking up parts for a 20vt, I've flaked on a couple 90q's because of unforseen circumstances in my financial situation as well so this build has been really in the planning/backburner phase.

Anywho, I picked up a 20v MC2 block from Yoda with the ...

So who here shoots up?

With nitrous that is :D

I just read a story about a racer that used nitrous to cool his air post-turbo instead of an intercooler to save weight and drag on a drag strip.

Shop talk, ingenious homemade tools and gadgets!

So I figure I will be delving into a pretty in depth build soon and want to have the right tools available to me almost all the time. I dont mind outsourcing stuff when it comes to machining and balancing type things, but what are some of your guys homemade/homebrew concoctions?

Im personally ...

Doy.
And really the only major difference between the 20v and 20v rods and cranks are the journals are smaller on the 20v vs the 20v, which is why I will be running a 7a crank. By my estimates I will have a 2.2 turbo ...

Re: Alternative 20vt setups

Im seriously considering 55lb injectors and 93 octane to start with until Im good at tuning with vems. Ill most likely switch over to vems once I want big power.

Wow only 42lbers on an e85 setup? Im intrigued. . . I was under the impression you needed to run bigger injectors to get the most out of e85.

Re: Alternative 20vt setups

How'd you figure the compression ratio?
Damn phone lol. . . Anyways, a stock 3B/Aan runs around that same compression, and obviously it varies between each seperate engine due to manufacture specs. All 2.2 5cyl blocks were essentially the same, the onky difference were the crankshafts and the rods ...

I wont be doing a water manifold purely because I will not run anything but a holset and for my power goals I can do it without a water cooled turbo.

Re: Alternative 20vt setups

Gas stations around my area have a plentiful supply of e85 as well as 93 so I am up in the air on fuel. If I go 93 I will do a water meth setup and if I do e85 I will probably do a water meth setup anyways just to tune for the extra power.

I know dana's setup put down 310whp and ran an 11.8 so I am ...

Alternative 20vt setups

I dont like to use the term ghetto because it makes me think of something that would kill you if you were white. Basically I would like to start a GOOD discussion about non traditional 20vt setups. I know people have done them, so there should be a good knowledge base to build on here.

The setup I ...
