Took the BPV to clean it.. Turns out it is a Dahlback Racing BPV... I could not get it apart (need a strap wrench), but I was able to clean it enough that it no longer causes any issues. JC-Quattro lent me a spare just in case, but it was fine for the whole trip up to see him and grab the spare and ...

now that my engine is installed I am trying to figure out if I am experiencing compressor stall ,or if I have a problem with my BPV.

any spst switch will work. but I like what the chaloux boys did with the "FUNK" switch:
