Im glad I dont' have to deal with crazy hail like that! Sorry to see it happen to anyone... I assume you will just buy the car back and keep driving it?

Re: MK4 GLI 1.8T _ a daily driver experiment...
Had my heat-exhanger implode a while back and the engine oil emptied into the cooling system... thankfully I had a spare from the TT 225 that I could swap in. I'd estimate that it only took a hundred thousand flushes or so to clean out the system...

I was thinking more like other forums that have a marker show up (return arrow or something) on the thread itself - not a fan of having to monitor a separate page just to see what I’ve posted in.

Re: Chris' 200 20v Avant - RENNWGN - EFR
No, I meant that they make the same amount of torque period on pump gas, not at the same RPM. AKA, the rod limit is nearly identical on either. The 7163 100% spools later. THe 6758 is nice on these cars because they are at the cusp of full boost at 65-75mph, where the 7163 really needs to be closer ...

Hm, if oil was the issue then the back two cylinders should have fired up... I’m assuming oil didn’t get under the plug wire and was just coating the outside. Aside from the VCG, I’d still want to find out why oil was in the front combustion chambers though.

I'd be lying if I said the 07K wasn't tempting... If you already have a 5 cylinder variant it's more a question of when, not if, isn't it?
