Great project and not for the fainy hearted.
I hope you are able to free up the studs, the heat from welding a
nut on to the studs will help too.
Here is a Bi-Moto, Biturbo, cool but expensive....

Stunning - love the colour. Still getting grief from 'er indoors after selling a
very low mileage Coupe GT in oceanic blue....
Wouldn't be so bad but she was right (again)!

Re: 1983 URQ: project unicorn : Pic heavy
Sounds like you have the basis of a great ur-q. Look forward to following the
progress.
I am in the process of swapping a Coupe GT 85+ wiring loom in to my '83 ur-q.
Biggest issue is getting an un-cut Coupe GT loom and then you have to remove
most of the interior to install it, and cut/enlarge ...

Someone already bought it, and he just sold his beautiful red '84.
I guess he is trying to own/drive all the ur-qs that came to Canada - he is
well on his way.......
Well done Mr P.

Re: 4 FOX SNAKES - project fast completed
Martin,
You are evil
But if it helps, I have the front and rear ur-q valence and bumpers, they are alpine white,
So that probably won't work for Matt? But Andrew could fix that
Matt,
You should do it, just tell the family it is the perfect 4 door urish-quattro.....

Re: Matt's 87 4ktq - "4 FOX SNAKES" - dead
Great to hear Marcel and Craig were able to help Matt get back on track
When the clutch went on my ur-q, I left it off the road for 18 months, now after driving it every
day for the last 5 weeks or so, I can't understand why it took so long to get it back on the road...
Well up until the petrol ...

You're car is shite, as its red and not black (and white like the pictures). If it was black it would be worth putting the same coloured brakes.... On it but yer cheap and will put black brakes on a red car, ratlin!

Re: Mechanical Speedo in 01e
I did this on my 01E swap except I haven't drilled out the upper bore, as you recommend down ~1/4 inch. It works as is but
to my calibrated hand it is not smooth and seems to be binding slightly. Drilling out the upper bore may cure this slight binding?
cheers, Mike

Thanks guys,
I certainly wouldn't have started this without the other two plonkers....
It would be great to make a few more kits, and we will certainly look at the possibility but given the scope of building these "copies" I can understand why only a select few masochists pursue these as projects ...

You really need to chip it
