Well... it runs... on starter fluid anyway. I finally got me a VEMS. I still have a lot more to go. Fuel system, Exhaust, plumbing and a catch can setup. Maybe more but I'm getting there.

The intake , I’ve seen them (not in person but on the Internet ) must sound cool.
I don’t know if anything would come backwards through the intake or not .

I also have my catch can vented to atmosphere right now and that smells when the windows are down , like hot oil.

They make it for the S2 which has a 24mm rack bar
I’m trying to get one for our cars which I believe is a 22mm according to them.
I need a 7A steering rack which I’m going to be putting in my car to take measurements from just to be sure.

I can’t seem to get my micrometer in my 91’ 80q. But I have a 90’ cq that measures 22mm.

I found a cq steering rack locally that will work with The factory 7a high pressure line and accommodate this bracket from Dynamic Motorsport Developments.

Well.... The bracket I made to hold the power steering pump is lined up with the a/c groove on the damper. Not the right one The factory 7a power steering bracket fits under the Wagner intake manifold but doesn't have enough travel for my liking. So.... I decided to eliminate the power steering all together. For now anyway.

So I did some measuring on 3 different racks. On the picture above the red line signifies the first measurement. A VW fox manual rack bar end measures in millimeters 26 x 20. A 90' CQ measures 22 x 20. S2 measures 24 x ? and my 91' 80q measures 24 x 20. Wish I knew the other measurement for the S2's. So at this point I think my 80q is the same as the S2 because the other measurement isn't asked for when wanting a 22mm one. We shall see

Nice that looks good . Hard to find a place to put that thing in a B2/b3 engine bay .
You running the crank case to it, no valve cover vent or suction ?

Thank you! Yes. The two blue -10 fittings on top go to the valve cover and the black 90 degree -12 on the side goes to the crankcase. It’s a modified vibrant performance atmospheric vented can.

I used Dorman 46022 pcv elbow on my 01E breather to get past the steering rack so I could take on deeper water

Well. I need a switched power source so I robbed it from the door chime relay and used it to trigger a relay so I could put a lot of accessories on it. I was able to repin a factory relay holder to accommodate what I needed. Then took another relay holder and drilled a hole in it so I could put a stud for power

Instead of getting a $800 to $1500 all aluminum radiator that is bigger and fits I figured I would get a $260 Chinese Ebay one to modify. When i got it the inlet and outlet were an 1 1/4". I needed the upper inlet to be 1 3/8" like the 3B water manifold and the lower outlet to be 1 1/2" like the V8q thermostat housing I used. So I cut both the 1 1/4" inlet/outlets off and got some aluminum hose couplings trimmed down to be welded in place. Next was the bottom mount. It was only a 6mm x 1.00 hole. Its supposed to be a 8mm x 1.25 hole. So I cut that off too. I got some aluminum 8mm x 1.25 standoffs and cut them down to 11mm high along with some brackets to weld in place of the bottom mount and the side mount which didn't even exist in the first place. The only other thing it needed was a bleeder hole on the top which seamed to be there but was a closed ended hole. I guess China thought it was a mount not a bleeder. Once i get some pictures i will post them.

That intake on the b3 gives you a lot more space by the core support than I have with my BST

Yeah BST , the brand of intake I have . On B2 it’s so close to the core support . Don’t know if that’s a b2/b3 difference or the intake

here's a birds eye view
I had to cut some of the B3's hood frame out of the way from hitting the throttle body when using 034's phenolic intake manifold spacer with the wagner intake

The Wagner I.M. comes with 5 vacuum ports in it. (4) 5/32'' and (1) 1/4''. None of which has npt threads. The 1/4'' fitting is what i believe to be for the EVAP. I had previously drilled it out and tapped it for 1/8'' npt and put a 3/8'' hose barb to supply the brake booster, vacuum reservoir and the other vacuum actuated stuff the car needs. Now I'm left with (4) 5/32'' fittings. 3 in the back and 1 up front by the throttle body. Now that I acquired a Tial 50mm BOV I read that it requires at least a 1/4'' hose barb. So now I'm going to have to drill and tap out the port in the front of the I.M. to except a 1/8'' npt fitting for the BOV. I'm waiting to hear back from Fuelab to see if I have to drill yet another bigger hole for the fpr. Unfortunately I don't have it yet. Hopefully it's a 5/32'' but we soon shall see.
